Sour’s Latest Music Video
If you are a fan of interesting and unique music videos Sour’s latest is right up your alley. For the music video of “Life is Music” the band did an animated video. You say that’s no big deal and you would normally be right. In this video Sour uses 189 CD’s that the animation was put on and then spun to create the animated look. Sure looks good on paper, and turns out it sounds damn good, too. I love the name first of Manicanparty! Break it apart and you see what I mean. This is one when they described the music of Manicanparty as Tribal Pop I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Sometimes a high soprano like Jessica’s is hard to carry through in music. The percussion along with her soprano voice just hit some chord inside me that says “I like this”. I love the spotlight on the percussion section and can see where they derive this as tribal pop. I don’t know if Manicanparty will be for everyone one but you definitely need to check them out. 75th Anniversary Tribute by Zack Snyder
Here is another one to make you feel old. Superman’s 75 Anniversary. In the short below Zack Snyder created an animated history of Superman and presented it at the New York Comic Con. The short is schedule to air on the Cartoon Network on October 16 and will be an extra on the Man of Steel DVD/Blu-ray release, set for November.
