We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
We did the spot light on Nick de la Hoyde with his single “By My Side”. We enjoyed the single and now everyone can enjoy his music video for the same single. It is done in black and white style for the most part, which to me gives the video a classic feel to it. The Patternist comes to us by way of Portland and gives everyone a taste of his ElectoPop music with his lyric video for “Gone”. The beat to the single is catchy and keeps the listener interested in the single, however the vocals, to me, blend in to much with the instruments and at times is even over powered by the instruments. Gabe has a singing voice I want to hear more of. So for me tone down the instruments and give us those vocals for everyone to hear and appreciate. In “Walk Away” Hy Brasil gives the listeners a Techno Sound. This makes the single have an other worldly feel. This might be intentional on the bands part, but their voices do tend to get lost in the instruments. This is a style that several enjoy, but I like to have the voices to be as much of the song as the instruments. When you add the music video to this single it adds to the single. The video was shot in black and white film and has a young woman that has a unicorn mask on her face. These visuals compliment “Walk Away” in achieving that other worldly feel. The group American Pinup has given New Noise Magazine an exclusive release of their latest single “The Radio”. This single has that rock feel with some soul mixed in. It isn’t a head banger for sure, but it has a nice feel that one would listen to when they just want to listen to music. Listeners will enjoy the vocal treatment and steady beat throughout the single.
