Farewell to One of ComicPop’s Dear Friends

musenadine

It is with a heavy heart that I write this.  I just found out today that Nadine Gelineau passed away last Friday while the ComicPop Crew was in Oklahoma.  Nadine and the MuseBox was the first Music PR companies to take a chance with ComicPop Library and we began posting and reviewing the artists that they represented.  Five years ago Nadine saw something in ComicPop that she liked and contacted me and we began working together along with several other MuseBox representatives over the years and now with many other Music PR companies.  Without her support and taking a chance on us we might not have gotten the additional support that came to ComicPop.  Even though all of our communication was through the internet, over the years we developed a friendship that I greatly appreciated.  Nadine will be missed by me and I want to lift up her family and friends in this time of grief, to let them know we are thinking of them and her.  Keep the music rockin’ Nadine! – Richard

Friday is turning out to be “Cold” with His Single

museFriday

Friday is sharing with the ComicPop listeners his single “Cold” from his upcoming album Nocturnal.  Friday, otherwise known as Ricky Dred, uses a fast rhythm in “Cold” .  The rhythm is a little repetitive, but it is saved by being catchy and his ability to Rap really well at a fast pace.  Some performers will lose the clearness of their voice when rapping fast, however Friday is at ease with the faster rhythm.  Take a listen to “Cold” through SoundCloud and if you enjoy it remember to start keeping an eye out for his upcoming Nocturnal album – Richard:

Hy Brasil’s “Misanthropic” Music Video

museHYBasil

Hy Brasil is sharing with the ComicPop listeners their latest music video for “Misanthropic”.  It looks like they had a little fun with this video when they were filming it.  “Misanthropic” is their first release on their upcoming new EP.  So keep you eyes out for when it drops.  Here is the music video through Hy Brasil’s YouTube channel – Richard:

Eileen Carey gives us “Faith”

museEileen

Eileen Carey gives everyone a little “Faith”, her latest single  Eileen is firmly entrenched in the country/pop style with this single.  Even though the song has serious overtones it is performed and sung in an upbeat style that makes the song fun and meant to be uplifting.  She wants everyone to check out her music video for “Faith” by sharing it with the ComicPop listeners through her YouTube channel – Richard:

“Give or Take” Music Video from Coffeehouse

musecoffehouse1

Coffeehouse has released the music video to their single “Give or Take”.  The song comes from their debut album Square One.  When you listen to it, “Give or Take” is a nice ballad song that’s not to slow or to fast, it hits just right.  With the lyrics it is a little bit of a submission song to your loved one.  However, the band or director of the music video went a different route.  They take the viewer on a paranormal journey.  Fans of this genre will definitely enjoy the video, but with the lyrics the song can take on a different feel that the main characters are submitting to a deity.  Coffeehouse is putting themselves on the radar, so far what I have heard from them I have enjoyed.  Thank you to the band for sharing their music video via their YouTube channel – Richard:
