Spidey is Really Amazing

Yes Amazing is part of the title of the Spider-Man comic book and the upcoming reboot set for a July 3rd, 2012 release date.  However, this movie is amazing in another way.  Without it even being released Sony has set the date for the Amazing Spider-Man sequel.  Sony has set the sequel date for a May 2nd, 2014.  Talk about planning ahead.

Heroes Fighting Hunger

Marvel and Williams-Sonoma, a cooking supply company, are teaming up to help raise funds and promote “Share Our Strength”.  “Share Our Strength” is a charitable organization whose aim is to end childhood hunger.  Marvel has enlisted C.B. Cebulski (author) and Todd Nauck (artist) to create the story of Spider-Man and the Avengers fighting villains at a cooking demonstration that Jarvis, the Avengers butler, is giving to some children.  The issue is currently available at Williams-Sonoma stores or you can read it at williams-sonoma.com.  So if you want to help out or inform your comic book fans about this opportunity to get a comic book and help out a worthy organization.  Follow the link to Marvel’s site for the full article.

Ghost Rider Rides Again

Marvel’s site has an interview with Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor the directors of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.  Nicolas Cage reprises his role as Johnny Blaze (Ghost Rider).  The director’s say that this movie will be amped up, which hopefully is the case.  When the first Ghost Rider came out I said it needed to be an “R” rated movie to do it any justice.  Ghost Rider is not a “PG-13” character…..tt’s a horror comic!   So hopefully this movie will step up to the plate and be what it’s supposed to be.  Read the interview at the link below.
