WizKids is coming out with “Fast Forces Packs” for their DC and Marvel lines of HeroClix. Each pack will contain six figures. The DC packs, called DC HeroClix: War of Light Fast Forces Packs, will have characters from their Green Lantern titles. The Marvel packs, called Marvel HeroClix: Uncanny X-Men Fast Forces Packs, will have characters from their X-Men titles. Be sure to let your gamers know so they can start getting ready for another round of HeroClix.

Let all of your HeroClix gamers now about the even more HeroClix sets forth coming in the new year. The first set is Marvel HeroClix Avengers, release date for March, and second set is Marvel HeroClix Galactic Guardians for later in the year, no release date as yet. Each set will have a total of 40 characters.
New Marvel HeroClix
Here is something you can talk to your Gaming patrons about that like HeroClix. WizKids is set to release “Hulk Smash! Fast Force Pack” (with 6 pieces) and the Incredible Hulk Single Boosters on December 14.
Dark Horse going Day and Date
Dark Horse Comics has announced that as of December 14, all of their titles will released as print and digital on the same date. They are joining a growing number of publishers that are going to this business model which include Marvel, DC, and Image to name just a few.
Red 2 and Ender’s Game are Looking Good
The surprise hit Red, based off of a DC graphic novel by Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer will have a sequel, which is slated for an August 2, 2013 release date. Also Ender’s Game based on the novels by Orson Scott Card has a release date of March 15, 2013. The Ender series also has been adapted into several Marvel graphic novels.
The X-Men anime series premieres tonight on G4 at 11:00 p.m. ET. This will be a 12 episode run and I’m sure will be packaged for U.S. distribution. Dexter gets Comic
Marvel’s Joe Quesada announced that in 2012 Marvel will begin publishing an ongoing Dexter comic book series. Jeff Lindsay is slated to write the comic series, whom is also the author of the bestselling Dexter novels. Marvel says the comic book series will fall into continuity of the novels and not the Showtime Dexter series.
Marvel Android App
Marvel has developed an Android App for it’s digital comics accounts, run through comiXology. This move was possibly centered around Amazon’s Kindle Fire, which runs with Android tech.
Superhero Squad is Back
The third season of Superhero Squad will air today on Cartoon Network. This is one that librarians can recommend to parents of young children that are starting to be introduced to the world of Superheroes.
