AMV of the Week
This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber UraSei87. The song is “Can’t Help Falling in Love” performed by the A Teens. The animation is from the anime One Piece. The editing is done very well with the song and is fun to watch. At the end even if you don’t understand the spoken language you know what is happening, so it doesn’t distract the AMV to much. Watch the Video below or you can search for it under the tag “Ruffy x Nami – can’t help falling in love”. Great job.

Here is something you can tell your patrons that enjoy cosplaying. Cosplaying might be dress-up for most people, however in the anime/manga conventions this hobby is taken very seriously. The individuals that participate are very talented in costume making, a master level is when he or she actually designs and constructs all of their costumes. If you have a patron that enjoys this hobby this will give them something to strive to attend in Japan. Each year they have the World Cosplay Summit. The summit is represented by 17 countries: Australia; Brazil; China; Denmark; Finland; France; Germany; Italy; Japan; Malaysia; The Netherlands; Mexico; Singapore; South Korea; Spain; Thailand; and The United States. This is something librarians can use with their Gundam fans to show interest in model kits. There is a group of individuals that do the model kits all around the world. It’s just the same as a car or airplane model kit which you might be more familiar with. I myself have one that I haven’t put together yet. These modelers are really exact or use the molds to kit bash and create unique Gundams or unique paint apps. for their Gundams. Anyway Bandai is setting up the 1st Gundam model kits contest, “Gunpla Builders World Cup 2011”. There will be 13 regions for the contest: Japan; China; Korea; Taiwan; Hong Kong; Singapore; Thailand; Malaysia; Philippines; Indonesia; Australia; Italy; and America.
