Duel Overload is coming to Yu-Gi-Oh TCG

Konami and Hill and Knowlton Strategies is giving our listeners an earlier glance at what is coming to the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. The new set is Duel Overload and it’s expected release date will be March 20.

Beyond the unprecedented arsenal of Link Monsters, you’ll also find new cards for fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh! movies: Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions and Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time! New cards for Paradox’s Malefic strategy and Aigami’s Cubic Deck make their debut in Duel Overload, so Duelists who started building their Cubic Deck through Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions: Movie Pack Secret Edition will have plenty to look forward to.

In addition to the 56 total new cards, the Duel Overload set has 44 returning cards from previous sets as well, bringing the total set size to 100 cards. These cards have been chosen to help Duelists to bolster their existing Decks or build new Decks that they might be missing a critical piece of. For example, Duelists interested in building Cyberse Decks like Marincess from Rising Rampage and Chaos Impact, Mathmech from Mystic Fighters, or @Ignister from Ignition Assault, can find the all-purpose wildcard, Cynet Mining.

Each Duel Overload box comes with:

6 Duel Overload booster packs, each with 5 Ultra Rare cards per pack

1 of 6 special oversized collectible cards

The complete Duel Overload booster set contains 100 cards

Konami set to Release “Legendary Duelists: Sisters of the Rose” Packs

Scheduled for a January 11 release is the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game packs from Konami. The new set is entitled “Legendary Duelists: Sisters of the Rose”. The set will include 56 cards featuring some of the great heroines from the last five generations including: Mai Valentine; Akiza Izinski;and Alexis Rhodes. The breakdown for the set is: 29 Common Cards; 8 Super Rare Cards; and 9 Ultra Rare Cards. The packs will contain 5 cards and the suggested retail price will be $1.99.

Yu-Gi-Oh Advent Calendar 24 Oh Tokenbaum!

The final card in the Advent Calendar is Oh Tokenbaum!, the card which pictures a Christmas party. It lets you tribute multiple tokens of the same level, to summon monsters from the grave that share that level, but they don’t keep their effects and they die when the turn ends. It can be useful for setting up XYZ summons, because tokens can’t be used as material for those, and if there are extra deck monsters that have more specific requirements, you can switch tokens with the right level for monster in the grave that you need. It might also be useful for switching out tokens that would be destroyed by battle with monsters that your opponent can’t attack over. It might be useful on the attack as well. A decent card and thank you to Konami and Hill and Knowlton Strategies for gifting us this Advent Calendar.
