Part of the ComicPop Crew had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Scott Novosel, the author of the graphic novel Fieldhouse. Fieldhouse is based on Scott’s experiences on not quitting on your dream and show that no matter how big or small that dream might be it can happen. This would be one that would fit well in any Middle School or lower High School level libraries. We will be uploading our Visit with Scott later this week, but until then here is the book trailer for Fieldhouse and the Theme Song for Fieldhouse for you to enjoy provided from the Fieldhouse YouTube channel. To purchase your copy of Fieldhouse you can visit Scott’s website: http://fieldhousebook.com/
Preacher Trailer
AMC has released the first trailer for it’s new series Preacher, an adaptation from the Garth Ennis title. Being a cable channel I’m sure AMC will stretch the boundaries like the do with the Walking Dead, but will have to stay confined to a degree. If they did a true adaptation this would have to be on HBO or some other paychannel. However, as good as AMC has done with the Walking Dead, Preacher might be another hit for them. This is one wickedly twisted story…check out the trailer through AMC’s YouTube channel:
Bond, James Bond
Dynamite is bringing James Bond 007 to the comic book world. Dynamite is always good about packaging their series up into graphic novel form. So if you enjoy floppies you can get them that way, but if you are wanting the collected addition for libraries give it a few months and Dynamite will deliver for you.
Two Brothers Graphic Novel
If Two Brothers is anything like Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon’s Daytripper then it will be an outstanding read and work of art. Daytripper is one that I think is a most have of graphic novel collections and even though I haven’t seen it I strongly suggest that you take a look at it. These are not your action adventure yarns by any means Daytripper was a well thought out drama, which it sounds like Two Brothers will be as well. It is slated for an October release from Dark Horse.

Marvel Offers Revenge Title
If you or your patrons are fans of ABC’s Revenge, currently in it’s third season, then this graphic novel might interest you. Marvel is slated to release Revenge: The Secret Origin of Emily Thorne on September 3. This is one you will want to consider adding to your graphic novel collection. This is kind of becoming a habit with Disney. They already have graphic novels for their ABC series Castle and Once Upon a Time.
