Upper Deck has announced that in 2014 they will be releasing an Alien Legendary Deck Building Game. There is no set artwork for the game or hard release date, but CCG collectors will probably want to sneak some extra money to the side to be ready for the games release to add to their collections.
Magic’s New Quest Begins
Magic: the Gathering fans and CCG collectors alike will be interested in this bit of news. The next phase of the Magic game will be released in three parts. The first part will be entitled Magic: The Gathering–Theros and it will be released September 27. The set will be a 249 cards set that focuses on Greek mythology and will be available to purchase in Booster Packs, Intro Packs, Event Decks, and Fat Packs. The two other parts will be released in 2014. The second part is scheduled for a February release entitled Born of the Gods and the third part is scheduled for a May release entitled Journey Into Nyx. So everyone start making plans on how to work you budgets to obtain these new releases.

New Kaijudo Coming
For all you CCG fans keep an eye out for the Kaijudo: Shattered Alliances booster packs. They will be hitting stores around September 13. The set will contain 90 new cards to include two new Super Rare cards: “Heaven of the Light Civilization” and “Queen Kalima of the Darkness Civilization”. The packs will have a suggested retail price of $3.99.
Upcoming Marvel HeroClix
For all you HeroClix fans, WizKids has announced the next Marvel HeroClix focus will be The Invincible Ironman. The gravity feed’s will be available on October 30 and booster packs on November 13. The set is slated to be a 60 figure set, three of the game pieces are pictured above.
Firefly Game
This will be one you will want to consider for your gaming collection. Toy Vault, Inc. will be releasing Firefly: Out to the Black card game this coming October, with a suggested price of $24.99. Even though Firefly has not been in production for several years, it has become a cult favorite of science fiction fans.
Weiss Schwarz CCG Promo Card
Here’s one for all you Collectible Card Gamers. Bushiroad has announced that in the August 13, Blu-ray release of Sword Art Online there will be a promotional card included. The card will have the image of Kirito and Asuna and will be usable in the Weiss Schwarz game. Sword Art Online anime will also start airing on Cartoon Network in August as well. So this release will be of interest to anime fans as well as gamers. Libraries that purchase this Blu-ray could us it as a give-a-way to draw interest in their anime collection and/or gamers club.
K Television Series Coming to Gaming Platforms

The 3rd set of WizKids’ Star Trek Tactics HeroClix will be coming to a specialty stores this September. The set will include 28 models and four new species: Bajorans; Kazon; Species 8472; and the Borg. There will be a starter set that will include 4 ships, a rulebook, tokens, Powers & Abilities Card, and two maps. The suggested retail price will be $24.99 for the starter sets. There will also be booster packs for $4.99. This will appeal to all the HeroClix fans, but also Star Trek fans, so have fun building your sets.
