Digimon is Back
For all you Card Gamers out there, Bandai is trying again with Digimon as a CCG. The card game is called Digimon Fusion and is planned for a January release date. It is based along the lines of the current show on Nickelodeon. There will be two theme packs (Red and Blue), which will contain 40 cards and have a suggested retail price of $9.99. There will also be a 60 card set that will be sold in Booster Packs with a suggested price of $3.50. So here you go collectors more cards for you and you Digimon fans enjoy!
More HeroClix
WizKids is still banging out the product. Slated for release on December 18 is the Yu-Gi-Oh HeroClix (first six pictured figures, but they are still art proofs). This will be a six figure starter set and then on February 14 (happy valentines to you gamers) the full series will be release in gravity feeds. The set will have 55 characters to include: 16 Common; 15 Uncommon; 12 Rare; 9 Super Rare; and 3 Chase figures. Then on April 23 WizKids will be releasing the Deadpool HeroClix singles and then on May 7, the booster packs, fast force packs, and organized play kits will be released. The Deadpool set will have 80 figures to include: 19 Common; 19 Uncommon; 19 Rare; 15 Super Rare; and 4 Chase figures. The organized play kit will also include 12 limited edition figures. I hope all you HeroClix fans are saving your money. A lot of neat stuff coming out.
WizKids will Release DC HeroClix in January
More collectibles for all you HeroClix collectors and gamers. WizKids will release on January 29, 2014 the new DC HeroClix: Superman and the Legion of Superheroes figures. The sub-themes will be: “Legion Espionage Squad”; “Legion Lost”; “Legion of Doom”; and “New Gods”. If you are a HeroClix fan I’m sure you will be putting your money back to the new sets.
WizKids Adding to Marvel Line
WizKids are going strong and producing new HeroClix at a fast pace. If you are a HeroClix collector you are enjoying this or asking them to slow down. Anyway, scheduled for an April 2014 release is the Marvel HeroClix: X-Men-Days of Future Past game pieces. This is to tie into the release of the new X-Men First Class movie which will be released May of 2014.
New Card Game for 2014
In 2014, Alderac Entertainment will be releasing the card game Sail to India. This is one that if you collect the trading card games you can add to you collection and/or just to play with your friends or have it in your library for patrons or International Gaming Day. The game is a 3 to 4 player game, lasts approximately 60 minutes, and will have a suggested price of $19.95.
New “Fairy” Type Pokemon
Pokemon’s newest sets for trading card collectible gamers to get ready for is the Pokemon XY–Kalos starter sets. The release date for the sets is November 8. Their will be three different sets each featuring a different character: Chespin; Fennekin; and Froakie. These three characters are part of the new “Fairy” type Pokemon that are new to the Pokemon Universe. There will also be new “Basic Fairy Energy” cards to power up the Fairy Type Pokemon. Booster packs will be available in February of 2014. So gamers will want to prepare for the new cards to add to your collections.
New Steampunk Card Game
Here is another card game for the CCG collectors, but this one will also appeal to the Steampunk fans. Welcome to Koryo, which takes place in a steampunk alternate history universe were you are thrust into the political arena. The game is for 2 -4 players and will contain: 45 character cards; 10 event cards; 8 season cards; 8 victory tokens; 1 first player token; and a rule book. The artwork for the cards is provided by Stephane Gantiez and Ian Parovel. Koryo is coming to you from Asmodee and Moonster Games and it is slated for an October release.
Opening to Fairy Fencer F
On this last Wednesday, Compile Heart began streaming the opening to the new Fairy Fencer F role-playing game, which will be available on PlayStation 3 in Japan on October 10. There is no release date for the North American market. However, I’m posting this because we get to hear Maho Matsunaga, a member of StylipS sing the opening entitled “Resonance World” and we don’t get to hear to many J-Pop songs.
