Assassin’s Creed: Forsaken Book Trailer

Pokedex for iOS Devices

Pokemon has come out with an Official Pokedex app for iOS devices.  It can be purchased for $1.99 and starts you out with Pokemon from the Unova Region.  If you want additional regions you’ll have to be ready to pay for them.  You can purchase additional packs for the app for $5.99.  So all the fans of Pokemon can have their information at their fingertips.

Magic the Gathering Gatecrash

Magic the Gathering will have a release date of February 1 for it’s next expansion Gatecrash.  The set will have 249 cards which will be available in Booster Packs, Intro Packs, Event Packs, Booster Battle Packs and Fat Packs.  Wizards of the Coast is also planning to help sponsor some pre-release events January 26 and 27.  So TCG gamers might want to check out their local gaming store to see if they will be hosting one of these events.

Castle Game

Here is another forth coming card game that you might be interested in if you are a fan of the TV series Castle.  Cryptozoic Entertainment is going to release Castle: The Detective Card Game that can be played by 2 to 5 players.  The suggested retail will be $30.00, but there is no release date as of this posting.  Keep an eye on their Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/Castle?ref=ts&fref=ts, and it will probably be announced their.

Etrian Game Trailer

Atlus USA has released the trailer for the upcoming Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan video game.  The game is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo 3DS on February 26 at a suggested retail price of $39.99.  If you pre-order the game it will come with a limited edition art book and a music CD, which will nice extra editions for your library.  Thanks to “AtlusUSA” on YouTube for the following trailer:

Pathfinder News

Paizo Publishing is working on two items for it’s Pathfinder Game.  So here you go gamers and libraries that support gaming.  Paizo is currently partnering with Mike Selinker and the design team at Lone Shark Games to create a deck building game, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game.  If plans progress the first set will be based on the Rise of the Runelords and it will have over 400 cards.  Paizo then plans to release another set of 110 cards on a bi-monthly schedule.  There is no release date set for the card game yet.  The second piece of news related to Pathfinder is that in April of 2013, Paizo plans to release Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Ultimate Campaign.  It will be a 256 full color hard cover book and has a suggested retail price of $39.99.

Final Fantasy XIV Ending for a New Beginning

Square Enix is streaming a video for the ending of their Final Fantasy XIV Massively Multi-Player Online Role-Playing Game.  However gamers don’t fret in late November to early December they are looking to have Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn up and running.  All of the accounts from the old game will be shifted over to the new game.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network for the heads up and video:

Cardfight!! Popularity

If you remember at the first of the year we reported that Cardfight!! Vanguard was going to be released as a trail run here in the U.S.  Evidently, this trading card game has become popular enough that Bushiroad has awarded UltraPro the license to produce and market Vanguard accessories which will include card sleeves, playmats, and deck cases.  The expected release date is set for February 2013.  If it has become popular in your area you might consider adding it to your library’s playing card tournament events.
