This trailer at least is much better than what I’ve seen so far. Are you ready for 20th Century Fox’s Fantastic 4? Check out the movies trailer from the Fox’s YouTube channel:

Double-Chaser Replicas
Bandai’s toy making division had a surprise for attendees of the Tamashii Nation 2012 event this year. To help promote their Tiger & Bunny line Bandai had life-size replicas made and on display of the Double-Chaser bikes that the two lead characters ride in the anime. Very cool.
Marvel Goes Pink in October
Marvel Entertainment is helping the Susan G. Komen for the Cure during this coming October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Marvel will have a select number of titles that will have pink covers with the characters in pink highlighted costumes. This is a great way to help a worthy cause. I’m pretty sure, including myself, that everyone has a loved one or friend that has had to fight breast cancer. The issues involved with the promotional will be: Avengers #31; Captain America #18; Captain Marvel #5; Fantastic Four #661; Invincible Ironman #526; Mighty Thor #21; Uncanny X-Men #20; and Wolverine #315. This is just a current listing and more titles could be added to the promotional. Each issue will have one page in the comic to educate readers about breast cancer.
Fantastic Cake!
Hopefully you didn’t miss it, but if you did maybe you can catch it in reruns. What am I talking about. Evidently this last Sunday Food Network’s Last Cake Standing had a Fantastic Four theme. Let your patrons that are comic fans know about this because otherwise they might not catch it. And the way Food Network operates there will be a chance to catch it in a rerun. So check your listings.

Fantastic Four Variant
Librarians can show some interest in the comic book medium with their graphic novel readers. Ask your patrons if they were lucky enough to get the cover variant of Fantastic Four #587 that sports the autograph of the writer of the issue, Jonathan Hickman. Follow the link to Marvel’s site for the full article.

From Fantastic Four to FF
The Fantastic Four is no more and according to Marvel’s website Spider-Man is joining the FF team. What is FF? Evidently it is the new name for the team – Future Foundation. To me personally the costumes leave a lot to be desired for, but I’m only one person others will like the costumes. For the complete article – link below.
Fantastic Four in the News
Seems that Marvel’s shack up is hitting all of the news outlets. You can pretty much go to any search engine and get results to a variety of articles. We have provided a link to Marvel’s website were Jonathan Hickman discusses the death of the Human Torch. But lets be honest, in comic books death is a relative aspect. And what can be more literal than the Human Torch rising up again in the flames of the phoenix. Just when his return might be is up in the air, because it was several years before we saw the return of Jason Todd (2nd Robin) and the longest length of time before a return that I’m aware of is Bucky returning first as Winter Soldier and is now currently the new Captain America.
