The Yahoo ticker has shown an image of Kristen Stewart, as Snow White, in her new movie Snow White. Stewart is best known for the Twilight Saga. Snow White is her next major motion picture outing. This is definitely not Disney’s Snow White. It might be an interesting take, probably in the vain of the recent Red Riding Hood movie.

ICv2 is reporting that at Comic Con this last weekend Jeph Loeb announced that Disney XD has a Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. in development. This is a new animated series that is being looked at to get Tween and Teen boys into watching. This is one of the primary reasons Disney purchased Marvel is because they had no properties that drew in the young boy viewers. We will probably see more of this coming out from Disney as the years progress.
ICv2 is reporting that Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil and Disney are in talks about creating a new Night Stalker movie. Depp will star as the tabloid reporter Kolchak to chase down the stories that go bump in the dark.

ICv2 has an image of Disney/Pixar’s teaser poster of John Carter of Mars. The movie is scheduled to come out March 9, 2012. This is Pixar’s first live action film and the second Edgar Rice Burrough’s character to be looked at as a movie property. The movie will be an adaptation of the first John Carter novel, A Princess of Mars.
Librarians take note that your DVD collection well be able to cross over with your graphic novel collection again. Marvel and the ABC network, both Disney properties, have announced that a Castle graphic novel is in the works. It is slated to be a 112 page hardcover and to be released September 28. As librarians know this is not to far out there. The Castle television series, centered around a novelist Richard Castle played by Nathan Filion, has already produced two novels written by “Richard Castle” (Ghost written of course). AnimeNews Network’s site, linked below, reports that the JPop band Perfume will have one of their songs in the movie and on the album of Disney and Pixar’s Cars 2. Perfume will be heard singing the song “Polyrhythm” at a party the night before the Grand Prix’s World Race race in Japan. Librarians be sure to let your JPop fans know about this so they can listen for it during the movie.

ICv2 is reporting thatArmie Hammer has been tapped to play the Lone Ranger in the modernization of this character. Disney is backing this film and would like to see Johnny Depp play opposite Armie as Tonto. Link over to ICv2 for the full article.
