CBS’ New Star Trek Teaser
When I first heard about the new Star Trek television series it was stated that it was only going to be available on CBS All Access, but now I see that at the end of the teaser it says it will debut on CBS in 2017. Very excited that they didn’t make this an exclusive. The teaser doesn’t give you much, but it is a cool “rail” shoot. I also find it curious that the teaser used the plural tense with “New Crews”, “New Villians”, New Heroes”, and “New Worlds”. The big one I’m curious about is the “New Crews” statement…does this mean the series might follow multiple ships and their crews instead of just one? Just having some fun. “Till We Meet Again” Typhoid Rosie
Typhoid Rosie is sharing with the ComicPop listeners their single “Till We Meet Again”, from their album, Hearts Bleed Goodbye which is available to download. This is just a solid rock piece that has a solid beat and strong vocals. This single is a tribute to Rosie’s mother, but even though it is a somber subject I believe you will be able to get into and enjoy “Till We Meet Again”. Supergirl Flies over to CW
Deadline Hollywood reports that for the second season of Supergirl has moved over to The CW. The trailer below also bears that information out. I’m glad that The CW picked this up and they can have more fun in the DC television universe. It also makes sense because the channel is a Warner property. Get a New “Ritual” with Adam Jensen
Adam Jensen is giving the ComicPop listeners a new “Ritual” to listen to. In “Ritual”, from the upcoming EP by the same name, Adam has a nice blend of soul and pop stylings. The verse is the more soul centered aspect of the single, while the chorus hits a more “poppy” sound. “Ritual”, to me, is more of a contemplative single that you just groove to. The next anime film to come from Project Itoh is Harmony. If you are one of the lucky you will actually be able to see it in the theater today or tomorrow (May 17 and 18). Pilgrim Speakeasy is sharing their single “Unbelievable” with our listeners. Pilgrim Speakeasy consider themselves avant pop which with this single you can definitely hear in this single. What the group says in their single is what most of us say to ourselves a lot while shaking our heads. It’s a catchy tune but be forewarned that it does have language in the single, but it isn’t used in a harsh way, but it is throughout the whole single.
