If you hear your gamers talking about WoW Starter Decks not being out, this is what they are talking about and you can relay the information to them. The World of Warcraft TCG Fall 2011 Class Starter Deck were supposed to by out in October. Cryptozoic had to delay the release, for unspecified reasons and the release date has been pushed back to December 6. Your gamers might already now this, but if not this will allow you to join in the conversation.
Redakai DVD with Card
Season 1, Vol. 1 of Redakai: Conquer the Kairu which airs on Cartoon Network on February 28. The two discs set will come with an exclusive Blast 3D “Harrier” card for the Redakai TCG. This would be a good give-away for your library for your gamers and might even attract your anime fans.
New Yu-Gi-Oh hitting Shelves in Nov.
Don’t forget to let your gamers know about the latest release of new Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. The new cards from Konami are booster packs titled Photon Shockwave. The packs will be priced at a suggested price of $3.99 with a release date of November 15. This is only a few weeks away, then gamers will need to start checking out their local stores that carry Yu-Gi-Oh cards. A couple of the cards will be “Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon” and “Rescue Rabbit”.
Gaming News
Some of the products that gamers will be looking forward to in 2012. In January there will be a Star Trek Expansion and Naruto CCG Tournament Booster Packs. The next month of February will have another Naruto release, Naruto CCG Series 24 Booster Packs. Then in March horror fans will get their turn with the release of the Resident Evil Expansion: Mercenaries.
WoW Expansion
Cryptozoic is releasing another expansion set for World of Warcraft. This expansion set is called Aftermath: Crown of Heavens and it is the second Aftermath expansion set. Alert your gamers to start looking for these in their local stores.
More Yu-Gi-Oh
With Yu-Gi-Oh still going strong, CW 4Kids Toonzai is debuting Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, October 15. The franchise is still strong here in the U.S., so this is a title for librarians that keep track of their Anime Collection to place in their forth coming folder as a possible purchase in the future. New Yu-Gi-Oh Cards
Konami’s website is showing a new structure deck that you can talk to your gaming patrons about. Gates of the Underworld Structure Deck will have 40 cards in it and is slated for an October 11, release with a suggested retail price of $9.99. If your Yu-Gi-Oh players don’t already know about this, tell them about it.
Next Pokemon Expansion Set
Let your TCG gamers now that this November there will be a new Pokemon: Black & White – Noble Victories expansion set. The set will have 50 never before seen Pokemon that fans will definitely want to get.
Catch more Pokemon come December
AnimeNews Network has announced that Pokemon the Movie: White – Victini and Zekron will run in 300 theaters in the U.S. over the December 3-4 weekend. Tell your Pokemon fans to start watching their theaters the last week of November to see if their local theater might get the movie.
New Magic Cards
Here is something you can relay to your patrons that enjoy gaming. Wizards of the Coast will be releasing the Magic the Gathering Innistrad set September 30. The set will have 264 cards, which will be double faced. The main thing though you will want to tell your patrons about is that some stores will have pre-release parties on September 24 and 25. At these events participants will receive a “Mayor of Avabruck/Howlpack Alpha” promo card and an “Achievement” card, while supplies last. So tell them to check with their local store to see if their store will be participating in this pre-release event.
