Redakai To Debut
This will appeal to your patrons that like anime and trading card games. Redakai: Conquer the Kairu is set to debut on Cartoon Network on July 23 at 10:00 a.m. There will also be a tie in trading card game Redakai Lenticular, however these cards are not scheduled until August.
Thundercats Debut
Cartoon Network has announced that Thundercats will be debuting on Friday, July 29, at 8:00 p.m.(ET). Then the series will be regularly broadcast beginning August 5th at 8:30 p.m. (ET).

If your library purchases older animation you will want your purchasers to put this on their list. Warner Home Video is scheduled to release ThunderCats Season1, Part 1 on July 12. This will be before the new ThunderCats series will debut on Cartoon Network from Studio 4C.
Durarara!! Picked up by Cartoon Network
AnimeNews Network’s site is reporting that Aniplex of America announced at FanimeCon that starting in June, Adult Swim will start airing Durarara!!. Durarara!! adapts Ryohgo Narita’s suspense light novels and has 26 episodes. So let all your patrons that enjoy anime to keep an eye out for this new series.

DC Nation
An interesting team up that librarians might tell their readers of DC Comics and animation fans about. On DC’s site it is reported that Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network will team up to bring about DC Nation. When this will actually become part of Cartoon Network’s programing in 2012. However, this will be interesting to see if DC can sustain a block of Cartoon Networks program scheduling. Some titles mentioned was the current Young Justice series and a new Green Lantern series.
