Troy is sharing with all the ComicPop listeners his music video for his single “Song Man”. “Song Man” has a strong rock beat that as the music video shows a couple would slow dance to. The video is different in that it takes on a performance look along with a storytelling aspect about the older couple dancing to the tune. A well constructed song that takes on a rock/ballad feel. Adam Jensen is giving the ComicPop listeners a new “Ritual” to listen to. In “Ritual”, from the upcoming EP by the same name, Adam has a nice blend of soul and pop stylings. The verse is the more soul centered aspect of the single, while the chorus hits a more “poppy” sound. “Ritual”, to me, is more of a contemplative single that you just groove to. Alexis Babini is giving the ComicPop listeners a fun song to enjoy entitled “Lets Get Stoned”. “Lets Get Stoned” has a great base beat and Alexis has a nice clear voice. For looking like sure a clean cut gentleman Alexis’ subject matter and language will surprise some listeners. Looking at it as just a piece of music this single has a very catchy beat and a fun chorus for it’s hook that you can’t help but smile and sing along with. Kelly Paige is sharing, with the ComicPop listeners, her lyric music video to her power ballad “Get You Down”. Kelly is hitting a home run with this bluesy/rock single that just gets your body moving. I love the message as well…and it doesn’t necessarily apply to women. No one should let anyone get them down. Skyes is sharing their latest single “Give Me More” with the ComicPop listeners. The single comes in with a simple style and grows throughout the song into a definite electronic feel. The piano and drum beat opening is really nice and with Dallin Knightly’s voice is really powerful. The trio should concentrate their sound around Dallin’s voice which can carry the group with it’s clear and strong quality and lightly use the electronics. Kimberley Locke, one of the finalist of American Idol in Season 2, shares with our listeners her rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s single “I Will Survive”. Kimberley takes the disco hit and slows it down to make it into a ballad. Some listeners that can remember Gloria’s hit might not recognize this rendition. Come join us for a “Terrible Mistake” that isn’t quite so terrible. Lilly Wolf is sharing her music video for “Terrible Mistake” from her Deleted Scenes album. This individual single has an electronic/pop feel to it. The vocals are really nice and clear with the instrumentals complementing the singer. The video is interesting in that it has been shot and then run backwards, but for me it is the single that I gravitate to and enjoy. JOME is sharing with the ComicPop listeners the premiere of “Brushstroke”. The drums that the piece utilizes give the single a little bit of a tribal feel, which I enjoy. When the chorus hits it brings up the songs tempo and gives a nice contrasting element between the verse and chorus. To me this is an anthem song for people that don’t want to be forgotten and to change that precept and not be forgotten is to change the color you paint your would with or even the “Brushstroke”.
