Batman vs. Robin gives us another DC Comics animated movie. These have traditionally been done well check out the trailer provided by IGN’s YouTube channel:
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
DC Comics Stop!
DC Comics have released the above images of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in new costumes, through HitFix and we got them from ICv2, after the current “Convergence” storyline running through the titles. The fans just not that long ago went with new costumes for DC’s “New 52”. I wish sometimes these companies would leave things alone. If it works why mess with it. I could handle the minor changes with the “New 52” costumes, but these I don’t know? Maybe they will grow on me or it’s just temporary.
Meet Aquaman
Meet the new Aquaman, Jason Momoa. Momoa is set to play Aquaman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. I see this as maybe a small role or a cameo/background role and then he will have a prominent role in the planned Justice League movie. Otherwise to me, the screen is starting to get a little crowded with characters and that might make the story suffer. I hope it is a success, because I’m a DC guy more than a Marvel guy and I would like to see more DC characters on the big screen done well.

Batman Turns 75!
Batman’s 75th Anniversary is this year. On July 23rd, 2014 (Batman Day) will be the day he is officially recognized as 75. However, you could decorate for the month in a Batman theme within your library. Just another chance to connect with your patrons with a program. Give it some thought it could be fun. Thanks to ICv2 for the heads up.
We Get Another DC Hero on the Big Screen
Warner Bros. has announced that Gal Gadot will be in the next Superman movie, portraying Wonder Woman. That means that the Big Three DC Comics Heroes will be in this movie (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman). Sounds interesting and we all know that Warner Bros. is trying to get into a franchise set around the Justice League as Disney has done with Marvel Entertaiment’s Avengers franchise with individual movies around the main movie. The movie is scheduled to be released July 17, 2015.
