AMV of the Week

Our AMV of the week comes from YouTuber miraclefalcon.  The music for the video is “Letting Go” performed by Linkin Park and the animation is from Angel Beats.  Miraclefalcon states that this video was a finalist at the Otakon 2011 and Katsucon 2011 contests.  After watching the AMV I can see why.  The editing is very nicely done and I especially like the drum beat cuts it has in the latter part of the video.  You can go to YouTube to watch the video under the tag “Letting Go: An Angel Beats AMV” or check it out below. Great job miraclefalcon!

New Company Testing the Waters

ICv2 reports that Innovation Network Corp. of Japan (INCJ) is funding a new Japanese entertainment company.  The company is All Nippon Entertainment Works and is scheduled to launch in October.  The company will have it’s fingers in films, TV shows, novels, manga, and other aspects of entertainment.  Hopefully this company might pick up some of the slack that was left when TokyoPop left North America.

Anime Recipes Being Translated

We reported before about http://www.animeshi.net/ a website that has recipes for dishes from anime shows.  The site is now starting to translate the recipes into English.  So if you didn’t want to use your translate feature on your computer, this will make it easier for you.  Go about midway down the page and on the right hand side you will see a box for English recipes.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network for the update.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber UraSei87.  The song is “Can’t Help Falling in Love” performed by the A Teens.  The animation is from the anime One Piece.  The editing is done very well with the song and is fun to watch.  At the end even if you don’t understand the spoken language you know what is happening, so it doesn’t distract the AMV to much.  Watch the Video below or you can search for it under the tag “Ruffy x Nami – can’t help falling in love”.  Great job.
