Hot Topic’s website began selling Hatsune Miku merchandise. Above is pictured a women’s and men’s T-shirt and the site is also selling Wall Scrolls, Playing Cards and Cell Phone Charms. If you have any fans of the vocaloid steer them towards the website.
This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber ShizukaTeyova. The song “Move Along”, performed by The All-American Rejects is edited around scenes from Big Windup! This one is in here since we are right in the thick of things for Baseball season. However, the song is a great song and the editing that ShizukaTeyova did for the AMV is nice and clean. It was posted last May and doesn’t have very many views, but it is one that is worth checking out. Watch it below or on YouTube under “Big Windup! AMV-Move Along”. Great job ShizukaTeyova.
For the 30th Anniversary of Macross a traveling exhibit is making its rounds across Japan. This last Saturday it opened at the Sunshine City Complex in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The exhibit is called “30th Anniversary of Macross Super Dimension Exhibition~Valkyrie de Sasotte!~”. The exhibit features several Macross images and statues, but the big center piece for the exhibit is the full-scale VF-25F Messiah Valkyrie Variable Fighter. Because of the smaller size of this complex only the top portion of the Valkyrie is on display. When the exhibit makes it way to Osaka it will be in a larger complex and will have the complete Valkyrie on display. For more images follow the link below:
If you know anyone that is traveling to Tokyo this is one stop they will definitely want to visit. At Diver City Tokyo Plaza on Tokyo’s Odaiba island the new Gundam Front Tokyo Entertainment Complex had it’s Grand Opening on April 19. The video starts outside the complex, moves into the Gundam Cafe/Gift Shop and then into the collection of models. It doesn’t show the complete collection, but it gives you an idea of what is in store for you.

Japan’s Self-Defense Forces has been using anime inspired recruitment posters since 2010 to inspire young adults to join. The 2012 recruitment poster is pictured above. This is for all your Mass Effect fans and video gamers in general. T.O. Entertainment began streaming the video below in preparation for the release of T.O. Entertainment, Production I.G. and distributor FUNimation Entertainment of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost anime. There is no set release date yet, but this is libraries will want to consider adding to their animation collection.
