Brandyn Burnette is sharing with the ComicPop listeners his music video to his single, “I Wanna Be (Free)”. The single brings in a good bass beat and then moves into an electronic sound. Rozes’ has been kind enough to share with the ComicPop listeners her latest single “Fragile”. At this point all of Rozes’ singles have gained great reviews, this single is continuing on that same path. With “Fragile” Rozes gives us a clear smoky ballad that draws the listener in while listening to it. Molly Moore is sharing her latest single, with the ComicPop listeners, entitled “Peace of My Heart”. Molly’s single has a wavy in and out quality that lends it to feel other worldly or spiritual. This fits the song since “Peace” in the title is used as an acceptance and understanding of what is happening within the single. Have you had enough of the week? With Private Island, they want you to take a listen to their latest single “Enough” from their Subreak EP. This has a nice sound to it and will set your weekend off right. If you remember our look at Six60, this single has a similar sound. Lily Elise is sharing with us the music video for her single “Taken”. Lily has a very nice clear sound that comes through really well on this ballad. The background music has an interesting flow to it and at first was a little distracting, but the more I listened to the single I was taken in by Lily’s voice. Olivver the Kid is sharing with us his latest single “World on Fire”, from his The Boy Who Cried Wolf EP. When this single begins one is going to think what is going on, but don’t stop. Keep going and you will experience a song that you won’t forget. “World on Fire:” has an infectious beat that gets the body going. The single kind of has an other worldly feel to it because of what they are doing instrumentally with the music, which seems appropriate for an EP entitle The Boy Who Cried Wolf. If you like music from the 1980’s to early 1990’s Secret Weapons latest is for you. Gerry Lange and Dan E. make up this Brooklyn duo and they are sharing with us their single “Something New”. “Something New” has a good beat and will get you singing along with the single in no time…at least it was that way for me and I’m ready to hear more from them. CHCKLK has just recently released their single and music video for “The One”. This starts out with a dark feel to it that I didn’t quite expect, by just starting the song. I go into these without any knowledge of the group as much as I can so I don’t know their style and it is a fresh take from me. The dark music overpowers the lead singer, but that is intentional I feel because of the feeling the band wants the listener to experience. However, just by listening to it the first time without the video I had no context for why they wanted to go so dark. The upon watching the music video for “The One” it brought the single home for me and was much more enjoyable. So first time listeners it might take a while to get used to this single, but by CHCKLK sharing their music video with us through their YouTube channel, the first time listener will have a better experience in understanding the dark experience that I believe the band wants you to have. Put it this way if you are into the darker themes with your reading, viewing, and listening pleasure you will appreciate this single and music video – Richard:
