Levy & The Oaks Go “Slowly in the Water”

Levy & The Oaks are sharing with the ComicPop listeners their first single “Slowly in the Water” from their self-titled album.  “Slowly in the Water” has a sound that reminds me of something out of the gulf coast area with the river and swamps.  I think I get that because the single has a folk/rock feel but the guitar has an ominous sound through out the song to give it a little bit of an otherworldly feel.  I enjoy the sound that Levy & The Oaks have produced with this single and look forward to hearing more from their upcoming album.  The album will be out this October so keep an eye out for it on your digital downloaders, but until then enjoy Levy & The Oaks’ “Slowly in the Water” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Big Gigantic’s Latest Single “All of Me”

Big Gigantic is sharing with the ComicPop listeners “All of Me”, the title track for their recently released EP All of Me.  This single features Rozes, whom we have spotlighted before, and Logic.  We have that electronica feel from the very start that plays throughout the single.  Logic’s rapping is spot on and Rozes chorus flows through the music.  If you listen closely to the back ground sounds there are some sounds that Big Gigantic puts in that is very reminiscent of old school video game sounds, especially at the end it really comes through.  Very nice collaboration with everything mixing well.  Check out Big Gigantic’s “All of Me” featuring Logic and Rozes through SoundCloud – Richard:

Working Those “Day Jobs” with Trishes New Single

Here is the latest single from Trishes, “Day Jobs”, that she is sharing with us here at ComicPop Library.  The majority of our listeners will be able to identify with Trishes new single..Trishes is playing with several different things in this single.  Her voice is very clear and powerful that I can see singing R&B and Pop.  “Day Jobs” falls within the Pop arena, but she is having some fun and experimenting with some sound with the instrumental part of the single.  So this might take a few seconds for the average listener to get into, but once you do it works well.  Having the experimental feel with also appeal to those that enjoy experimental music.  Very well done single and can’t wait to hear more from her.  Here is Trishes’ “Day Jobs” through SoundCloud – Richard:

“Free Room” Music Video from Ravyn Lenae

Ravyn Lenae has re-released her EP Moon Shoes and to kick it she is sharing her music video with the ComicPop listeners entitled “Free Room”, featuring Appleby.  The video has a fun dance club vibe that fits the single perfectly.  “Free Room” has a Poppy/Soul feel to it.  When the intro is coming in you can hear the R&B influence but it quickly gets an upbeat tempo going that pops out at you.  The way the single is put together that poppy feel is intentional to get you out of your seat and on the dance floor.  Here is the music video, from her YouTube channel, for “Free Room” to give you a taste of Ravyn Lenae’s style before you look up her Moon Shoes EP that features two new songs: “Right of Spring” and “Something in the Air’ – Richard:

Justin Michael Williams Music Video for “Here With Me”

Justin Michael Williams is sharing his personal single’s, “Here With Me”, music video with us.  This single is one that will make the listener stop and consider life for a while.  The rhythm has a swaying movement to it that makes the listener become part of the song by experiencing it through Justin’s strong vocals.  With Justin singing it in a higher range, it makes the single even more emotional.  “Here With Me” is a very fluid song and touches the listener and viewer.  This single is part of Justin’s debut album Metamorphosis, which is due out later this Fall.  Here is Justin Michael Williams’ “Here With Me” music video from his YouTube channel:

Tammy “Hated It (With You)” Single
