Gaiman’s Doctor

Calling all Doctor Who fans and those who might not be.  Neil Gaiman has written an episode of this season’s Doctor Who series.  It will air Satuday, May 14, for all those lucky enough to have BBC America in their homes.  This will be a great cross promotional tool for librarians for patrons that either don’t like Doctor Who or Neil Gaiman’s work but love one of the two.  It could produce new watchers of Doctor Who or new readers of Neil Gaiman’s works.

Ender’s Game at Summit?

Librarians take note Summit Entertainment, which has the rights to the Twilight Saga, has acquired the rights to Orson Scott Card’s Ender Game.  Gavin Hood is currently named as the director for the live action movie.  If all goes well this Saga will replace the Twilight Saga.  Some of the new attention for this could be from Marvel recently publishing adaptations of the Ender Saga in comic book form.  Follow the link to ICv2 for the full article.
