Thor: Movie Special, Ep. 1

The Thor: Movie Special, Ep. 1 is ready to download.  These movie specials will give librarians different views from different age groups and interests.  The podcast features my family: April my daughter, who just turned 13 and is like any other young teenage girl; Logan  my son, who will be turning 16 and is a rabid reader; Michelle my wife who likes some comic book things but not all; and myself, the professed comic book guy.  We sit around the table, enjoy some ice cream and discuss the movie that we recently watched.

New Business Model….Will it Catch On?

ICv2’s site is reporting that UDON Entertainment is changing it’s business model.  UDON will no longer publish individual (floppy) comic book issues.  They will be publishing their properties in the graphic novel format only.  Could this be a sign of things to come from other publishers?  With everyone looking at the economy, I bet other publishers will be paying attention to the outcome of what UDON is doing.

Some Scary Stuff

Follow the link below for the full interview of Tom Neely and Dylan Williams experience with border officers going into Canada and two of the comic books they had in their possession.  Freedom of Speech and Expression, even though I don’t appreciate some content in the variety of types of media (comic books, books, or movies), I support the artists right to express themselves.  That’s what makes the United States special.  But you should always remember when you enter a foreign country your native country’s rights don’t transfer with you to whichever country you are visiting.
