We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
ICv2’s site, linked below, has an article about the titles that TokyoPop had rights to produce. TokyoPop announced that rights of the manga titles they had will revert back to the Japanese owners. This will allow the owners to try to find another U.S. publishing house or the series will stop publication in the U.S. Hopefully the titles will find a home somewhere since Viz, Yen Press, Del Rey, Dark Horse and other smaller publshers that could pick up some of these titles.
ICv2’s site is reporting that the release dates for the upcoming Hobbit movies have been announced. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released on December 14, 2012 and The Hobbit: There and Back Again will be released on December 12, 2013. The brief article also reports that Orlando Bloom with reprise his role of Legolas in the films.
Aniplex also announced that the 1997-2001 Rurouni Kenshin OVA’s (Original Video Anime) will be released on Blu-Ray. Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal on August 24; Reflection on September 21; and The Movie on Oct. 26. To read the full article follow the link. AnimeNews Network’s site is reporting that Aniplex of America announced at FanimeCon that starting in June, Adult Swim will start airing Durarara!!. Durarara!! adapts Ryohgo Narita’s suspense light novels and has 26 episodes. So let all your patrons that enjoy anime to keep an eye out for this new series.

Over at the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund site is an article concerning how the Patriot Act has been re-Upped and still gives authorities the right to search book store and library reader records. A campaign was put forth to at least make the search be warrented by having searchs done on records of individuals that are suspected of terrorist or criminal activity, but this measure failed.
