The CLAMP Festival 2011 Tokyo will be held on September 24 at Tokyo’s Ajinomoto Stadium. Tickets go on sale on August 27, and with your ticket of 7,350 yen or roughly $91.00 you will get an original manga booklet by CLAMP. If you know of any of your patrons that are planning a trip to Tokyo during this time you might let them know of this event.
Hellboy Contest
Librarians let your Hellboy fans know that Dark Horse is having a Hellboy contest were a person is to recreate a Hellboy cover in any medium. The finished product will have to be scanned and sent to them no later than July 13. The winner of the contest will be selected on July 14. Up for grabs is the possibility to win a signed Hellboy: The Fury #1 and Hellboy Library Edition Vol. 4. Follow the link for the complete contest rules.

Possible Movies For This Weekend
This week we get a break from the movie studios and their “block busters”. The only two genre movies that are coming out this week are Ironclad and John Carpenter’s The Ward. 6 New Licenses Announced by FUNimation
FUNimation announced at Anime Expo six new licenses that they acquired. The six titles are: science fiction story – Steins;Gate; a risque comedy – B Gata H Kei – Yamada’s First Time; post-apocalyptic – Deadman Wonderland; Fantasy – Baka and Test 2nd series; science fiction comedy – Cat Planet Cuties; and a financial thriller {C}.
