According to ICv2, Barnes & Noble are retaliating against DC Comics for giving Amazon exclusive digital content on some of DC’s graphic novel backlist. It is being reported that Barnes & Noble is pulling 100 of DC’s backlist titles from their brick and mortar stores. This is in effort to show DC and other publishers in the future that stores do not appreciate a publisher giving exclusive deals to specific competitors. After the last quarter is report for DC sales, we will see if this hurts their sales numbers or not.

Melinda Beasi of Manga Bookshelf has written a thoughtful one page essay over at Comic Book Legal Defense Funds website concerning Brandon X’s criminal case in Canada. In her essay she references George Orwell’s 1984 to great effect. It is a strong reminder of how striking that this case is being conducted in today’s society. The Passing of an Icon
Steve Jobs is one of those individuals that comes around every once in a while that changes the world. With the introduction of all of Apple’s “i” products his influence has reached millions. This blog alone and the podcast we push out would not have been possible without his influence and the creation of iTunes. If it wasn’t for that one piece, we would only be a blog and podcasting in general would still be in it’s beginning stages. So thank you to Mr. Jobs and what he has done for our world community. Our condolences go out to his family. He will be missed.

AMV of the Week
This weeks AMV is from YouTuber nuttyacornsquirrel. This individual has taken some flack over this AMV, however the main point of doing AMV’s is to have fun and put a smile on someone’s face. Even if it is just one person, that is one person that you have given a fun experience for. The song he uses is “Let it Rock” performed by Kevin Rudolf, which was edited to scenes from Soul Eater. It’s a catchy song to a fun video. You can see the video on YouTube under the tag “Soul eater let it rock” or check it out below:
