National Gaming Day

Don’t forget that on November 12 is National Gaming Day @ Your Library.  If your library can plan an event with different games for everyone to visit your library and have fun.

Lego Surprise

This is just to odd.   An eight foot lego man washed up on shore in Florida and was found by a man out for his morning walk on the beach.  Yahoo’s Plugged In has the story and they comment that it was more than likely a stunt, but still that would be just way cool to find just lying around on a beach.  If it was a stunt it was not one officially done through Lego, which has denied any affiliation with the event.  Follow the link for the full article below and a related video.

Viz to Launch Yaoi Line

Viz Media has announced that it is joining forces with Animate, Ltd. and Libre Publishing Co., Ltd. to begin publishing a Yaoi (Boys Love) line called SuBLime.  The line will have titles in print and in digital format.  The print line will launch in the Spring of 2012 with Three Wolves Mountain by Naono Bohra and Hachimitsu Darlin by Norikazu Akira with additional titles launching in the Summer.  The digital line will actually start this December with Love Pistols by Tarako Kotobuki and Dannasama To Mitsugetsuchu by Haruka Minami with more titles coming in 2012.  Viz is taking the leap to digital because of the observance of their consumer readership downloading more digital content.

Will the Mission be Completed

ICv2 is reporting that Universal Pictures has optioned the Image title War Heroes.  The screenplay is being written by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.  War Heroes is the product of Mark Millar and Tony Harris.  The title began in 2008, but has not yet been finished.  Maybe if Universal pushes this project the comic series will be completed for a possible release date.

The X-Men anime series premieres tonight on G4 at 11:00 p.m. ET.  This will be a 12 episode run and I’m sure will be packaged for U.S. distribution.  So keep your ears to the ground for when it becomes available to add to your library’s animation collection.
