We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.

PlayStation announced that Soul Sacrifice is planned to be released in the North American and European markets, for the PlayStation Vita. No specific release dates are available yet. One of the Hands-On Stations at Exploration Place’s “Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination” exhibit. This station has three different locals that attendees can enter act with (That’s April and Logan, part of the ComicPop Library team, in the second picture). Each station is different. They stations themes are: Moisture Farm; Mos Eisley; and Jawa Village. You have a variety of plates that you place in front of a scanner and it will tell you what the plate represents. It then puts the image of the plate up on the computer screen around your environment. You then place the images on different places on the turn table to make a functioning environment. Depending on your placement of the plates will determine if your economy good, social aspects are good, and conflict is minimal or viceversa. So if your looking for a fun event to do this Summer, stop by the Exploration Place in Wichita, Kansas.

Ray Bradbury passed away Tuesday night at the age of 91. He was the author of numerous Science Fiction and Fantasy books some of the titles that everyone is familiar with are The Martian Chronicles; Fahrenheit 451; and Something Wicked This Way Comes. Our condolences go out to his family during this time.
Prometheus hits theaters this weekend and it will appeal to all of your science fiction fans as well as your horror fans. Being a prequel to the Alien franchise you know there will be some major interest in this movie. Thanks to YahooMovies for the following trailer:
This is a title for library’s that have video game collections. Namco Bandai Games Europe released the following trailer of One Piece: Pirate Warriors. The release date for this title is for November 12 and will be available for the PlayStation 3 platform. Make sure your library’s purchasing agents now about this new title. Here is the new Zorro: Masked Avenger Graphic Novel from Dynamite Entertainment. This is one that you will want for your graphic novel collection. Introduce this generation to Zorro, which is one of those great titles that crosses genres with being a superhero/western comic.
Here is the first three volumes in Yen Press’ Alice in the County of Hearts. It is rated by the company as a “Teen” book. It is another telling of the Alice in Wonderland story and it begins this June.
Remember that while Nickelodeon is airing Avatar: The Legend of Korra that Dark Horse Comics is publishing Graphic Novels of Avatar the Last Airbender, which is currently on it’s seconded volume.
If your library has a gaming community you will be interested in WizKids’ planned October release of the next expansion set for the Star Trek miniature combat game. The new expansion is entitled Star Trek: Fleet Captains — Romulan Empire. In the set there will be 12 new Romulan ships and 10 new Romulan command decks.
A whole slew of New 52 books by DC Comics will be hitting the shelves. They have produced enough issues to make collected editions for each title. Some will be offered as Hard Backs before the make the transition to Trade Paperback, but some of the lesser known titles will only be produced in Trade Paperback at this time.
