The “Boys are back in Town”. Matt Upson (Writer), C. Michael Hall (Artist), and Dustin Evans (Colorist) have produced another comic book promotional tool to assist libraries. This time around it was for Emporia State University, School of Library and Information Management, located in Emporia, Kansas. The title of the comic book is Supreme Librarians in Metaspace and was made in the hope “that this resource will encourage prospective and current SLIM students, alumni, and librarians around the world to take a look at the profession in a new light”. If you are interested in viewing the comic book or possibly get a paper copy (minimum of 5 copies when purchasing) contact Matt Upson at sliminfo@emporia.edu. Great job again guys. Its great to have you supporting librarianship.
Phantasy Star Online 2 Trailer
Phantasy Star Online 2 will be one game that you will want to tell your library patrons about. It is a Free-To-Play multiplayer role playing game, that Sega has announced will be opening a server in the west to allow game play (actual opening date has yet to be determined). This news you will want to let your gamer know about so they can play at their homes, but also to your gaming patrons that don’t have a computer at home you can inform them that they can play on the library’s computers to spotlight your computer labs. AMV Spotlight of the Week
This weeks spotlight is on YouTuber “kapparomeo”. I picked this AMV because it is the week of our Fourth of July celebration and many men and women died to make this country. This individual to the anime Sora no Woto and edited scenes to the song “It’s a Good Day to Die” from the movie Starship Troopers 3. The editing was nicely done and the words fit the scenes very well since it is within the confines of battle/war. Thanks to “kapparomeo” for the AMV and if you want to check it out you can go to YouTube and look under “Sora no Woto AMV – Starship Troopers 3″It’s a Good Day to Die” & Carl Fischer “Il Bersagliere” or check it out below:
