Librarians will want to let their trading card gamers (especially W0W gamers) know about the upcoming World of Warcraft promo card. Cryptozoic will be releasing the promo card “The Well of Eternity”, at participating retailers, on October 2. This promotion is to support the upcoming Timewalkers: War of the Ancients launch. Let your TCG gamers know so they can contact their retailers to see if the can pick up this card.

ABC has order a pilot from Joss Whedon, Marvel TV and ABC Studios, for a possible S.H.I.E.L.D. series. If this will get picked up will be interesting. I would want it to be in no earlier than an eight o’clock time slot and preferably nine o’clock so they can do storytelling that fits in with this clandestine organization.

This weeks AMV Spotlight is on YouTuber MeiChan923. This is an older AMV from 2009, but it has a beautiful song and message to go with it. The song is ‘You Are Loved (Don’t Give Up)” performed by Josh Groban. MeiChan923 inspiration for the AMV was from Ryan Patrick Halligan’s story at http://www.ryanpatrickhalligan.org/ , for those needing someone to talk with link here for help http://suicidehotlines.com/. The anime used for the AMV were Air, Clannad, Konon, and One. It has won several competitions and it is well deserved. It is a beautiful AMV with a powerful message.

Shadows Over Camelot: The Card Game, by Days of Wonder, is one that libraries that have a strong gaming community might want to consider picking up. The game can be played by 1 up to 7 players and is a stand alone game that lasts about 20 minutes. So this would be great for a gaming day in the library. Japan’s Visual Art’s Rewrite Harvest festa! will be going up for auction on Japan’s Yahoo Auctions Japan. This vehicle is a wrapped van not a painted van. Major difference since it is a wrapped vehicle, because this vehicle has some wear to it. The van was used to a promotional tour in Japan that went to eleven regions for the game. Still it’s kind of cool. The auction begins September 3 and goes to September 17. Follow the link below to get additional pics including some close ups of the wrap.
