The seventh card is Fire Cracker, a little imp who throws around fireworks, which is a thing people do for Christmas. This monster has 1700 attack but it’s main way of dealing damage is through its effect. It can either discard itself from the hand for 1000 damage, or deal 300 times the number of times you hit your opponent for effect damage in each turn it’s on the field. This card should work great with Trickstars or other burn decks. If you do the 1000 damage one you will sacrifice your next draw phase, but if it’s field effect works on your opponents turn as well. I’d advise using it on the field if you can keep it alive. Thank you to Hill and Knowlton Strategies and Konami for getting us this Advent Calendar.
Yu-Gi-Oh Advent Calendar 6 Tualatin
The sixth card is Tualatin, a steel angel that I have no clue how it relates to Christmas. It’s a level 8 with 2800/2500 which is okay for it’s level but it’s effect is where it shines. If your opponent clears your field by destroying 2 monsters in their battle phase you can summon it without sacrifice, and choose an attribute to clear off from your opponents field, though be wary of using it on the Light attribute because that will kill Tualatin as well. Since a number of decks seem to only have one or two attributes it has a decent chance of clearing your opponents field and letting you have a direct attack on your turn. It seems to be a great card, and thank you to Hill and Knowlton Strategies and Konami for getting us this Advent Calendar.

Welcome to Marwen Trailer
This film, Welcome to Marwen, will probably suffer from being released at the wrong time. It looks like an inspiring story, a little bit sad and uplifting at the same time. However, it will be swamped by all the other blockbuster movies that will be released this December and lost in the shuffle. Which is to bad because it really looks good. By the trailer you can see why I would be interested in it, because of the figures being used to make scenes as the main characters way of art. Here’s the trailer for Welcome to Marwen through MovieClips Trailers YouTube channel:
Crimson Calamity’s Single “First Snow”
ComicPop gets to share with everyone a new holiday single by Crimson Calamity entitled “First Snow”. The duo Lauren Harding and Mallory Turnnell sing a song about how a loved one is waiting for another that is away from the house. Within the single you don’t really get a resolution that the loved one returned eventually or not. You can create your own ending of the story to where the loved one does return or not, but the song itself like I said doesn’t answer this and gives the impression that the loved one doesn’t return for whatever reason.
The song itself is a lovely acoustic sound with the ladies blending and harmonizing in a beautiful way. This song isn’t a pick me up type of song, but it is still a nicely somber put together single that I enjoyed. So here it is, Crimson Calamity’s “First Snow”, through SoundCloud – Richard:
Yu-Gi-Oh Advent Calendar 5 Ice Queen
The fifth card is the Ice Queen, a level 8 monster with 2900 attack and the effect to get a spell back from the graveyard if it is destroyed and you have three spellcasters there already. It also can’t be special summoned from the grave. The spell retrieval is probably the reason it can’t be reborn, though that doesn’t stop it from going back to the hand. It also actually approaches the limit of attack power without costs being attached to effects. Great if you focus on spellcasters and have ways of getting higher level monsters out to the field. Thank you to Hill and Knowlton Strategies and Konami for letting us have this Advent Calendar.
Yu-Gi-Oh Advent Calendar 4 Ghostrick Yeti
The fourth card is another Ghostrick, Ghostrick Yeti. This one has 2000 defense, and when it is flipped face up, it can make another Ghostrick monster immune to destruction for a turn. It is great for defense before you get one of the field spells out, and when it is first set. Even aside from its effect it has pretty good defense, and using it after you get a field spell out you can use it with Ghostrick-Go-Round to stop one of your opponents attackers and take 300 out of the attacks coming at you from the rest of them. Even outside of a Ghostrick deck it can shield you well, stopping any monster from destroying it with an attack, and even blocking any destruction effects that would have to wait until it was attacked. All in all a good defensive card, and thanks to Hill and Knowlton Strategies and Konami for letting us have this Advent Calendar.
Yu-Gi-Oh Advent Calendar 3 Ghostrick Jackfrost
The third card is a snowman, the Ghostrick Jackfrost. This card is part of an archetype based on getting monsters face down and having attacks bypass them. This one blocks a direct attack, turns the monster over, and summons itself. Even outside its archetype it works as a decent defensive measure, blocking at least two attacks. Sadly Link monsters are immune to most Ghostrick effects, being unable to go to defense mode. A good card nonetheless and thank you to Hill and Knowlton Strategies and Konami for getting us this Advent Calendar.
