Barbudo’s Music Video for “Secret Admirer”

Barbudo’s is sharing with our listeners their latest music video of their new single “Secret Admirer”.  When the music hits you, you get that funk late 1960’s – 1970’s style from the band.  In the video the Walkman makes you think 1980’s, but the rest of the video is styled just like the single using that funk inspired feel.

There are times, with the camera angle, that the lead singer in his outfit and hair style give me Davy Jones feels of the Monkees.  The music video is a longer video clocking in at over 5 minutes, but the flow of the music and fun feel of the video makes it feel like it isn’t that long.

Anyway for a fun listen check out Barbudo’s music video for “Secret Admirer” through their YouTube channel – Richard:

The DTEASE’s Music Video for “Slapshot”

Get your day going with the energy of The DTEASE.  In their single “Slapshot” this group has pure energy that you associate with your Rock/Alt Rock bands.  The single gets your blood to pumping from the start and doesn’t let you go until the single is over.  The music video itself is a performance type video, but with the intensity of the music the director translated that into the imagery of the music video.  The band’s album Shake is available now and they wanted to give our listeners a taste of their sound.  Here’s The DTEASE with their music video for “Slapshot” through their YouTube channel – Richard:

Brother Hawk’s Music Video for “The Clear Lake”

Brother Hawk’s sound is straight up Blues with a twist of Rock.  In their single “The Clear Lake” they blend both genres nicely.  It has a nice Blues’ slow rhythm, with an edge to it for the Rock feel.  “The Clear Lake” is the title track off of their upcoming album due out May 11.  The music video is pretty much a studio video, however the setting is in a house.  This single slows done life’s pace for the listener just to enjoy.  Here’s Brother Hawk’s music video for “The Clear Lake” through their YouTube channel and don’t forget to keep an eye out for their The Clear Lake LP – Richard:

Krantz’ New Lyric Video for “Run Away”

From the very start of Krantz’  “Run Away” you feel the old style rock coming at you.  The base beat drives through the song and establishes the singles fun summer rockin’ beat.  The video as stated is a straight up lyric video, but this one is all about the song.  In “Run Away” you have a single that you will play in the car up loud, move your body to, and sing along with the band.  Krantz invites our listeners to join in the fun through their YouTube channel and look out for their EP, The Pennock Tapes, to drop on April 27 – Richard:

Spring is getting closer and Joelina Drews is delivering a fresh song for the season with “Drive”.  The single has a nice easy flow to it and Joelina’s voice carries your through the song for a smooth ride.  Golden G is featured in the single roughly two thirds of the way through.  The lyric video shows what looks like a nice spring or summer day where the couple is just enjoying their time.  All around enjoyable single and video.  Here’s Joelina Drews’ lyric video “Drive” through her YouTube channel – Richard:

Dia’s Latest Single and Music Video “Valentine”

Dia sets a late 1960’s to earlier 1970’s tone with her latest single “Valentine”.  From the first heavy beat that softens with the verse and the guitar takes more center stage is very reminiscent of that era’s pop/folk sound.  When the chorus comes back in the heavy drum beat hits you again.  Throughout the single the central instruments shifts between drum and guitar, with the chorus and verse.  The music video that was made for the single has the same late 1960’s – early 1970’s feel to it by using simulated old footage and possible even authentic old footage.  This footage merges the video and single very well to transport the listener back to that time.  Here’s Dia’s music video for “Valentine” through her YouTube channel – Richard:

DYGL’s Music Video for “Come Together”

DYGL is sharing with our listeners their music video for their single “Come Together”.  This quartet is hitting us with a fun rock single.  The single has an infectious beat to it that will get your head a bobbing and body a movin’.  Really enjoyed this single from DYGL.  The music video itself is a performance video, but it has some atmosphere to it with the haze and coloration that is used.  If you are going to be at SXSW be sure to see them perform live.  They have two performances planned: on March 15, they will be at Maggie Mae’s at 10 PM and then a second performance on March 17, at Esther’s Follies beginning at 12 AM.  Here’s your taste of the groups sound with DYGL’s music video for “Come Together” through their YouTube channel – Richard:
