Leondro is shaing with ComicPop again. This time he is giving everyone the opportunity to watch his music video for his single “Super Big”. Love the nice catchy fun rhythm that he has giving “Super Big” that is in contrast to the lyrics, but it works. The song and video take on a subject that is very serious, but shows that with hard work and commitment you can better your situation. It might be hard, but nothing worth having comes easy. Troy is sharing with all the ComicPop listeners his music video for his single “Song Man”. “Song Man” has a strong rock beat that as the music video shows a couple would slow dance to. The video is different in that it takes on a performance look along with a storytelling aspect about the older couple dancing to the tune. A well constructed song that takes on a rock/ballad feel. The single “Talk’ from The Manimals starts out slow and makes you think you are going to get a ballad, but then the band kicks it in high gear and shifts to an almost Punk Rock beat. During the middle of the song the rhythm slows again for dramatic effect and then kicks it again. The music video that The Manimals’ are sharing with ComicPop listeners is what I would call an off the grid dance/party themed video. “Down by the Water’s Edge” is one that went straight to my sweet spot. Why you may ask? Ben de la Cour, at least with this single, has the stylings of The Highwaymen. If you don’t know of the Highwaymen it was a group of country western singers that were kind of on the fringes of country music, they were Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings. I always loved their style when they where together or on their own and I think Ben has tapped into that same vibe. The music video that Ben is sharing with us for “Down by the Water’s Edge” is also something I can see the Highway Men doing as well. So if you like the Highwaymen you will dig Ben de la Cour’s “Down by the Water’s Edge” from his upcoming album Midnight in Havana. Alexis Babini is giving the ComicPop listeners a fun song to enjoy entitled “Lets Get Stoned”. “Lets Get Stoned” has a great base beat and Alexis has a nice clear voice. For looking like sure a clean cut gentleman Alexis’ subject matter and language will surprise some listeners. Looking at it as just a piece of music this single has a very catchy beat and a fun chorus for it’s hook that you can’t help but smile and sing along with.
