Here’s a call back to a single in the late 1980’s with a current anime Rwby with “I’m Gonna Be” performed by The Proclaimers. The Haras da Hippo edits together the single with scenes from Rwby for “Rwby AMV – I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” and it was uploaded last year. It’s just a fun song so enjoy from their YouTube channel:
Seven Day Sleep’s Music Video “Red Lipstick Murders”
Seven Day Sleep isn’t wanting our listeners to sleep. They want you to check out their music video for their single “Red Lipstick Murders”. The leads vocals are really crisp and clear and when the single starts the simple keystrokes sound eerie and then the heavy sound hits fast to lead into the verse which is more of a pop influence and then they band takes you into the metal sound with the chorus. I really love the beat of this single and the different things that they bring into it. Seven Day Sleep’s style for this single appeals to me and I think others will enjoy it as well. The music video they have with the single is fun to watch as well. All the way around a nicely packaged single. Their EP A Home For Disgusting Fairies is due out on June 2 so keep an eye out on your digital vendors of choice. Until then enjoy Seven Day Sleep’s music video for “Red Lipstick Murders” – Richard:
Nozart Releases Story Driven Single “Orphanage”
Nozart is back and this time they are sharing with our listeners their single “Orphanage”. For fans of songs that are story based, which Logan and I are, “Orphanage” is made for you. The opening to this single itself feels like you are opening a book and getting ready to read a story. The simple rhythm and instruments give this single a fairy tale aspect. The vocals come through nice and clear and add to the story quality. It is a slower song, but the quality overcomes that. We are choosing to show the music video for “Orphanage” from Nozart’s YouTube channel. One because it is an animated video and we love animation here and two the animation for the music video makes it feel like you are reading a Neil Gaiman story made by Tim Burton. Props to Noah Kellman on a finely done song and music video. Here’s Nozart’s “Orphanage” music video – Richard:
The Gin Pennies Deliver with Single “Film Noir”
Are you ready to jump into a time machine? The Gin Pennies single “Film Noir” captures the time period beautifully. The horns come in at the beginning and then you have Shanelle Lewis’ voice come in to seal the deal. Along with the horns The Gin Pennies bring out the stringed instruments that add to the atmosphere of the single. If you love film noir or that time period you will love this single. Lovely.The.Band’s Lyric Video for “Broken”
With “Broken” Lovely.The.Band is letting everyone know they are here. They are sharing with us their Lyric Video for “Broken” which feels like a music video and if you take out the lyrics from the screen it is a music video, because most lyric videos key on the lyrics, but with this one it gives you movement behind it. The single “Broken” is a nice clean pop single that, if I remember right, is similar to One Republic’s style on “All the Right Moves”. Very catchy rhythm and clear vocals make this one fun to listen to. So know it’s your turn to take a listen to Lovely.The.Band’s lyric video for “Broken” – Richard:
AMV-Groovy Love
Another fun AMV for all of our AMV lovers. This one is from AMV-Groovy Love – Bestamvsofalltime Anime MV. The video was edited back in 2012 by SagexAMV with the song “Drive By” performed by Train and the anime Mayo Chiki, which is basically a harem anime. It’s a fun AMV, but it does have some risque moments throughout, so you have been warned. Have some fun with AMV-Groovy Love:
Silver Rose’s Music Video “Take Me Home”
Silver Rose is hitting that 1970’s psychedelic/pop feel with her single “Take Me Home”. Today she is sharing with our listeners her music video for the single, which the director shot as a home video reminiscent of 8mm film footage. Which fits the ’70’s time frame feel of the song. Silver Rose blends her voice in with the instruments just as you would expect from a psychedelic single. Here’s Silver Rose’s music video for “Take Me Home” to check out through her YouTube channel and then you can find her EP from your digital vendor of choice – Richard:
Phenix’ Music Video for “So Gone”
Phenix is sharing with us her music video for “So Gone” from her self titled EP. The single itself comes in with a hard base beat, with the keyboard of all things but it works, that lets you know this song has attitude. Phenix doesn’t let down when she comes in with the vocals either. This single wants to let everyone know that the individual is ready for the world and will take it by storm. Very much an empowering song. Even in the music video the director had Phenix and the other ladies dance with hard stomping attitude as well. Her EP is available from your digital vendor of choice so check out Phenix’ music video “So Gone” through her YouTube channel and then check out her EP – Richard:
Miriam Tamar’s Music Video for “Who We”
Miriam Tamar is sharing with our listener’s her latest music video she has done for the single “Who We”. The single is from her EP Firedance, which has reached the #4 slot on the iTunes World Music Charts. Miriam has a nice lower register voice and she uses it to her advantage. Some performers will strain their sound to hit the higher range when singing, but Miriam keeps it where she is comfortable and it makes for a great strong sound. “Who We” has a pounding bass drum beat that hooks you instrumentally and then with Miriam’s voice the single almost takes on an other worldly feel, which I love. The music video has very sweeping mountain and dessert scenes that gives the video a theatrical feel and then the direct made it in letter box style that just adds to that feeling. Everything was very nicely done, so check out Miriam Tamar’s music video for “Who We”, from her YouTube channel and then find her EP Firedance on your digital vendor of choice – Richard:
Shehzad Bhanji’s Music Video for “Till We Meet Again”
Instrumental Rock enthusiasts rejoice! Shehzad Bhanji is back with his second album Profound Beginnings. Shehzad is sharing with us his music video for “Till We Meet Again” that is available on this album. The single starts out calm and quickly moves into a nice driving beat that gets you hooked. Right after that Shehzad brings in his guitar that sings through the song. Very nicely done and as everyone knows Logan and I love the instrumental pieces as much as the vocal pieces we receive here at ComicPop. If you haven’t ever tried an instrumental song, this would be a great one to start with. “Till We Meet Again” shows that instrumentals isn’t just for classical songs, but can be used to rock your world as well. The music video uses locations beautifully and gives the single a sense of grandeur. You can find his album, Profound Beginnings, on your digital vendor of choice, until then check out his music video for “Till We Meet Again” through his YouTube channel – Richard:
