ICv2 is reporting that 20th Century Fox is taking another chance with the Daredevil movie rights. The company has hired David Slade to director the new Daredevil movie. Hulk #181 Hits High Mark
Another Marvel comic book has made news recently. The Incredible Hulk #181 has set a sales record for a “Bronze Age” comic book issue. The significance of Incredible Hulk #181 is that it was the first appearance of Wolverine. Since his conception Wolverine has been very popular with fans and continues to be to this day. C2E2 this Weekend
Librarians that live in the Chicago area don’t forget, if they don’t already know, to let your comic book fans know about C2E2 this weekend. This could even be an event for the library. If you live outside of the Chicago area get a group together and car pool to the convention. Conventions are always more fun when you have other people to share them with. The Blue Scare
Even though these little ones scare some people they are adored by many more. This looks like a good movie for the kids and can open the door for libraries that have any of the old Smurf collected edition comic books or the old cartoon series. I know my daughter still has one collect edition comic book that we found at a garage sale and won’t give it up. So these little blue Smurfs still have a appeal. Possible RASL Film
ICv2, linked below, is reporting that RASL by Jeff Smith (Most known for his Bone series) has been optioned by Lionel Wigram, the producer of the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes films. This is a Science Fiction Parallel Universe story featuring a former military scientist turn art thief. Even though this might be a good film I’m still waiting for Jeff Smith to allow a studio to make a Bone animated adaptation. But until then we might get RASL.
