Funimation gets Tales of Vesperia
Anime News Network is reporting that Funimation has acquired the rights of the 2009 anime film Tales of Vesperia to release in the United States. They also acquired rights for Fractale and Freezing. All of these are slated to be released next year. Follow the link to the article.

Ironman & Wolverine Anime on G4
Marvel’s website, linked below, has announced that G4 will be airing the Ironman & Wolverine Anime series exclusively this July. Voice casting for Ironman is Adrian Pasdar and for Wolverine is Milo Ventimiglia. The article also states that G4 will be airing the Blade & X-Men Anime series later this year as well. This makes it one step closer for these series to be made available through Blue Ray/DVD. Librarians that keep track of the anime collection in their library will want to keep their ear to the ground for when these become available for purchase.

Smithsonian to Host Satoshi Kon Tribute
Anime News Network has posted that the author of Japanamerica, Ronald Kelts, will host a tribute of director Satoshi Kon at the Smithsonian Museum. Any librarians in the D.C. area will want to let their anime fans know about this event. The tribute is this Saturday, April 2, so there is no time to waste in letting your patrons know about this event. The day will start with a screening of Kiki’s Delivery Service and end with the tribute, by Kelts, for Satoshi Kon and then followed by a screening of Kon’s Paprika. Green Lantern Marketing Delayed
According to DC’s site marketing for the Green Lantern movie has been delayed due to visual and special effects needing to get done for it’s release. 4Kids Responds to Alligations
4Kids Entertainment has responded to the suit by TV Tokyo and Nihon Ad Systems. 4Kids has stated that the letter to terminate did not comply with the 10 business day notice and cure provision written in the agreement for the Yu-Gi-Oh license. They also stated that the termination was wrongful and devoid of any factual and legal basis. What will happen will ultimately be up to the courts. Second Witch & Wizard GN
IDW’s site is reporting that the second volume of Witch & Wizard will be available this week. So any library that has patrons that are fans of James Patterson’s books will be interested in this. This is an original full color story, so readers of Witch & Wizard will want to read this hard cover graphic novel. 4Kids Entertainment lose Yu-Gi-Oh
Anime News Network has a report that TV Tokyo and Nihon Ad Systems have filed suit against 4Kids Entertainment accusing them of “underpayments, wrongful deductions and unmet obligations” in regards to their contract for the rights of Yu-Gi-Oh.
