TokyoPop Garage Sale
Libraries in California let your anime and manga fans know that TokyoPop, which is closing it’s North American headquarters, is having a “Garage Sale” in mid-May. No specific date yet. Anyone can attend the public sale, if you want to travel to California for the sale go for it. The company is also having a contest on Facebook were ten fans will be chosen to get a pre-sale goody bag and be allowed to attend the Private Sale on May 4. The only catch is that you have to be able to go to their headquarters to claim the prize. To enter you have to post fan art, costumes, videos and the like on their Facebook page by May 1. Gears of War Clix
ICv2 has more gaming news with WizKids coming out with Gears of War 3 HeroClix. The gaming figures will be $2.99 per figure. WizKids is planning for an August 17th release date. Click on over to the full article and see more images of some of the gaming figures.
15th Expansion for WOW
Cryptozoic Entertainment is planning on releasing the 15th World of Warcraft Trading Card Game expansion set for July. The set will be entitled “Twilight of the Dragons”. Be sure to pass along this information to your patrons that are into gaming. Link below to ICv2’s article.

ICv2’s site is reporting that Sony and MGM are financing a 23rd James Bond film. Daniel Craig will be James Bond again and along with him Judi Dench will be M. James Bond fans will rejoice. HeroClix Gets in a Street Fight
Librarians that have gamers that come in can use this as talking points. HeroClix by WizKids have added the Street Fighter license to their HeroClix line. There will be a starter pack of six characters, for $19.99, and/or gamers can purchase individual packed figures, for $2.99. The single packaged figures are a new marketing strategy for WizKids which usually packages their gaming pieces four to a box. The line is slated to be available August 10, 2011.
