“Dirty Dreams” comes out from the start with a hard base beat that carries through the single. I can definitely hear this being played in a club. Fiona’s voice and the style of music that she has with “Dirty Dreams” really reminds me of Marina and the Diamonds (for those of you that have been with us you might remember April reviewed one of their albums back in the day). Besides Marina and the Diamonds I also got a Katy Perry feel with this single. This is just a fun song and Fiona hits all the marks with ease. Really enjoyed it and can’t wait to hear what she will be on her forthcoming EP. Until then here’s Fiona Grey’s “Dirty Dreams” through SoundCloud – Richard:

StoryTown Releases Their New Single “I Am More Than This”
StoryTown is hitting the music with their new single “I Am More Than This” and they are letting our listeners check it out. The name StoryTown fits this band to the “T” with this single. “I Am More Than This’ has a late 1970’s – early 1980’s rock feel to it and the lyrics pretty much gives you a story. The drum gives the single a solid feel and it’s the keyboard or synth that really drives home that 1980’s feel. The vocals are the icing on top that for me make this song very enjoyable to listen to. Nicely done and I am definitely interested in what the band will come out with next. Until then you can enjoy StoryTown’s single “I Am More Than This” through SoundCloud – Richard:
Scooby-Doo and Batman: The Brave and The Bold

Holy Golden’s Music Video for “Arrival”
Holy Golden is sharing with our listeners their music video for the single “Arrival”. This single has an ethereal quality to it. The singers voices are higher ranges and blend together to make that eerie, yet interest sound. With the title of their upcoming LP you can kind of see why they went this direction. Their album is entitled Otherworld and will be dropping February 16. The music video has a seafaring theme to it from back in the day of the clipper ships of old. It just keys on the two characters and you never see a ship, but with they arriving in a launch, being on a beach, and the clothing they are wearing…it all comes together. “Arrival” isn’t a sea shanty though, but it fits well within the musical themes of seafaring songs. Here’s Holy Golden’s music video for “Arrival” through their YouTube channel and be sure to keep an eye out in February for the Otherworld LP – Richard:
Bungo Stray Dogs Trailer
A new supernatural series is coming from FUNimation entitled Bungo Stray Dogs. Looks interesting to me and might be one to consider for your anime collections. Here’s the trailer through FUNimation’s YouTube channel:
Janice Releases Music Video for “Queen”
In Janice’s single “Queen” she gives the listener a slow hypnotic single. The piano in this single I love and really enjoy. The verse is quiet and thoughtful in it’s delivery and then the chorus comes in at a crescendo. Janice’s voice flows through the single effortlessly and is the standout of this single. The music video is done in grey scale to have a more impactful viewing and listening experience. Janice wanted to give our listeners a chance to check out her sound before her Fallin’ Up LP drops February 2. She has already been honored by being nominated for the Swedish Grammy’s “Best New Act”. Here’s Janice’s music video “Queen” for you to enjoy through her YouTube channel and don’t forget about her albums release date – Richard:

Kristin Rebecca’s Single “Wackos and Weirdos”
Kristin Rebecca is sending out a fun sounding song. She pokes a little fun at the fandom of Nerdom in general with her new single “Wackos and Weirdos”. Kristin’s has a folk/pop feel to her single, with an upbeat rhythm. The song is close to a parody song, about the type of person she is attracting. If you can find the right balance in a persons fandom and social norms you can find a loving individual in us “Wackos and Weirdos”. So as you listen to Kristin Rebecca’s single remember to take it as a lighthearted look at our fandom. So have some fun with “Wackos and Weirdos” through SoundCloud – Richard:
