It’s Criminal

The comic book, Last Days of American Crime, from Radical Comics begins production.  Sam Worthington is reportedly attached to the movie and F. Gary Gray slated to directed it at this time.  This title is Radical Comics most successful comic series.  This is the first property to come out of Radical Comics through Radical Pictures and IM Global.  Linked is the brief article.

We get Perfume with Cars 2

AnimeNews Network’s site, linked below, reports that the JPop band Perfume will have one of their songs in the movie and on the album of Disney and Pixar’s Cars 2.  Perfume will be heard singing the song “Polyrhythm” at a party the night before the Grand Prix’s World Race race in Japan.  Librarians be sure to let your JPop fans know about this so they can listen for it during the movie.

Smallville’s Finale

Don’t forget to tell your patrons that Smallville airs it’s last show this Friday night.  Will Clark Kent dawn the costume or not is the big question?  Thank you to the cast and crew for 10 seasons of entertainment.

Thor Takes Box Office

It is being reported that Thor topped the box office this past weekend by taking in $66 Million.  A respectful opening, but will it retain the top spot for long?  Priest is hitting theaters this weekend to try and take Thor’s place at the top of the heap.

Trigun Movie Coming to U.S.

Anime News Network’s site has an article on the new Trigun: Badlands Rumble movie.  This is an older series so some newer librarians might not be familiar with the title.  This was one of the funnier series that I have seen.  The site also states that the movie will get a limited release in were some theaters will show the English Dubbed version of the film and others will receive the original Japanese undubbed verision.  Follow the link to get the English cast listing and the full article.  No dates yet on when it will be released on DVD.
