Blue Exercist 1st Movie Trialer
Librarians that work on the anime collection will want to place this on their calendar. The series of Kazue Kato’s Blue Exercist manga has spawned a movie in Japan. The movie will debut in Japanese theaters August 25. Since this is a fairly popular title in North America it will more than likely have a DVD release for our region. I would say it will hit late winter or the first part of spring. Thanks to AnimeNews Network, Blue Exercist official website and YouTube for the following trailer:

AMV Spotlight of the Week
I know a couple of weeks have slipped by that I didn’t get to our AMV Spotlight. This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber “garblehose”. “Garblehose” takes the song “Secret Agent Man” performed by Johnny Rivers and edits it to scenes from the FX show Archer. If you remember we did a review on Archer on Episode 17 of ComicPop Library podcast, so you knew we had to do an AMV of Archer eventually. The selected scenes fit the lyrics of the song really well and the cuts are very clean. Great job on this AMV “garblehose”. Be warned that this is a mature AMV and is not appropriate for all audiences, it contains violence and partial nudity. You can check out the AMV below or on YouTube under “Archer – Secret agent man”:

Paronnaud and Satrapi have teamed up again to bring about a live action adaptation of Satrapi’s Chicken with Plums, which will hit theaters August 17. Thanks to ICv2 and YouTube for the following trailer of Chicken with Plums:
