Theme Song for Captain Harlock

Mushibugyo Character Songs Streamed

The Avex music label has begun streaming two dance music videos for Mushibugyo’s upcoming character song singles.  The characters spotlighted in the singles will be Haru and Hibachi.  The internet Idol Kozue Aikawa cosplays as the two characters in the music videos below.  Haru’s song, “Haru Ooh Lala – Momorarura”, which is the first video, is sung by Satomi Akesaka.  The Hibachi song is “Gekijo Paramoia” sung by Rumi Okubo.  Both songs were composed, arranged and written by vocaloid song artist samfree.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network for the notice and videos:

Xbox One Console

Don Mattrick, the president of the interactive entertainment business at MicroSoft revealed on Tuesday that the Xbox One console will be coming later this year.  There was no specific date, so if something happens they can push back the launch date, you know how technology updates can be.  Could this be the end of used games at stores?  It is stated that when you purchase a game you upload it to your console.  If you take the game to another console you will have to pay a fee to upload it to that console.  So, scratching of the head, does this mean you buy a used game at a store and then you have to pay another fee online to load it to the console?  Also the previous generations will not be able to be played on the Xbox One.  Seems gaming companies are getting touch about their titles.  Follow the link to more information:

Hitting Brooklyn for the fifth year running, The Deli’s B.E.A.F. can only be described as the most underground and cross-genre showcase of NYC’s new talent.
BEST OF NYC EMERGING ARTISTS 2013 in the Spring issue of The Deli
The Deli Magazine is the only publication and web site entirely focused on the NYC music scene’s emerging artists. With an approach to local music organized by genre, this fest and the Spring 2013 Deli issue linked to it (out on May 23) offer the audience a quality selection of new local music for all tastes.
THE BEST OF NYC 2012 POLL FOR EMERGING ARTISTS
Once a year this established indie publication gathers together la crème de la crème of the NYC music industry, and asks them to choose their favorite Emerging Local Artists. Almost 100 artists including Spirit Family Reunion, Foxygen, DIIV, Widowspeak, Skaters, X Ambassadors have been selected by this jury of scene makers, which includes NYC bloggers, music writers, venue booking agents & radio DJs.
B.E.A.F. as in Best of Emerging Artists Fest
Each year, the Spring issue of The Deli is entirely dedicated to the artists that made this Best of NYC List and to the live event linked to it, aptly called The Deli’s NYC B.E.A.F. (as in Best of Emerging Artists Fest)
The Fest will last 4 days and span across 3 of Williamsburg’s finest LIVE venues including the stunning Brooklyn Bowl, Bedford Ave’s hub Spike Hill and Cameo Gallery.
More About The Deli:
Like the artists and bands they serve, The Deli is 100% Independent & by shifting their attention locally has become a pioneer in its field, covering and booking shows with a range of bands that have gone on to become incredibly popular such as: Grizzly Bear, We Are Scientists, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Ra Ra Riot, Vampire Weekend, A Place to Bury Strangers, Chairlift, Semi Precious Weapon, Yeasayer, Au Revoir Simone, Lia Ices and many others.
What’s on the docket, you ask? Take a peek at the complete details for all the events taking place during the festival over the 4 days here. Make sure you’re one of the first to experience this eclectic and eccentric roster of trailblazers for fronting the NYC music scene this Spring at B.E.A.F June 2013.
If you happen to be in the area, this looks to be a great time, especially for music lovers.  So be sure to make plans to attend and have a great time.

Ep. 35: I’m Hearing Things Now, ComicPop Library

Sorry this episode took a little more time to get out than normal.  One of our Co-Hosts, Logan, graduated this May from High School, which took a little of his Mother and I’s time to plan (to be honest mainly his Mother).  Then Logan has also been going through some medical tests, which has run into some of my editing time, hopefully we will get some results this week to help him.  Lastly, and this is a good problem to have, is the visits we have had with several artists.  We are thankful to all of them that took the time out of their day to visit with us and one of those artists was Matthew Gurnsey, who’s music you will be hearing samples of during this podcast.

This time around, for Episode 35 of ComicPop, the Crew reviews and discusses the animated movie Hotel Transylvania, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and the first solo album of Matthew Gurnsey, Hard Times.
