The Irrepressibles are the Art-Pop orchestra created by artist /composer / vocalist / multi-instrumentalist Jamie Irrepressible. On February 14th, The Irrepressibles will release their sexually charged work Nude : Viscera, the second of a three-EP trilogy expanding on their studio album, Nude. Listen to an exclusive stream from this EP entitled “Not Mine.” Additionally, “Two Men In Love,” a track from Nude, is the music to a groundbreaking political pro-gay love dance video performed/edited by dancer Chaz Buzan.
After listening to some of The Irrepressible’s songs (and this is just first gush, I have not listened to the whole EP yet) is that it is very much mood music. Just by the title alone you kind of get the impression that this work is for a slower pace and set the mood for an interesting evening and night. Check out “Not Mine” and the video to “Two Men In Love” to get a taste for yourselves.

Nancy Collins Stakes a Claim on Vampirella
Nancy Collins has inked a deal to write the Vampirella series from Dynamite Entertainment. For those not sure of who Nancy Collins is her series Sunglasses After Dark featuring the Sonja Blue character will probably sound familiar. Nancy over in a post on ICv2 says she wants to bring Vampirella back to her horror roots and make it a darker story. For me I hope this happens, because at times writers forget about the horror background and make it more of an adventure story. Hello Kitty and Playboy Hmmm
Did not see this mash-up coming. But I guess marketing is marketing even though it make you feel a little uncomfortable. Hello Kitty (celebrating it’s 40 anniversary) and Playboy (celebrating it’s 60 anniversary) have teamed up to provide merchandise to their fans in this mash-up of brand names. The French clothing & accessories retailer Colette created the merchandise and debuted it at Paris’ Crazy Horse caberet. Yuko Yamaguchi (Hello Kitty designer) and Sarah Andelman (Colette creative director & purchasing manager) where present. Son of God Trailer
Son of God debuts this weekend in theaters. This movie also has an accompanying music CD in stores of songs inspired by the movie. One of the songs featured on the album is Everfound’s song entitled “God of the Impossible”. If Everfound sounds familiar we reviewed their album and had a “Visit” with their lead singer Nikita.
