Gladshot’s EP “Maxwell’s Cool Demon”

gladshot

Gladshot is a group that gets it’s style from the late 1960’s. Their music is like a funkedelic type music (mix between funk and psychedelic music). The beats are “trippy” and the lyrics are “wavy”, but understandable, which is difficult for this type of music. A lot of times the lyrics get lost in the mumbling. Gladshot doesn’t do that, one can enjoy the rhythm and the lyrics both. This will be an acquired taste for individuals, but for the style of music they play Gladshot is one to check out. – Richard

We don’t have a sample of Gladshot’s music from their EP Maxwell’s Cool Demon, but if you follow the link it will take you to their website to give them a listen: http://www.gladshot.com/

We will also be featuring them in a podcast review for next month.

Meet Aquaman

aquaman1

Meet the new Aquaman, Jason Momoa.  Momoa is set to play Aquaman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.  I see this as maybe a small role or a cameo/background role and then he will have a prominent role in the planned Justice League movie.  Otherwise to me, the screen is starting to get a little crowded with characters and that might make the story suffer.  I hope it is a success, because I’m a DC guy more than a Marvel guy and I would like to see more DC characters on the big screen done well.

The Wiley Ones are Here!

city bird publicitywileyone2

Wiley Ones look like they like to enjoy themselves.  We have been given the opportunity  of listening to their latest single “Thank You New York”.  I have also listened to “Kill it all With Love” .  The band has a simple sound that is refreshing.  They don’t have the strong drums and hard guitar riffs.  It’s more of a blending of folk/pop.  So everyone that enjoys that will likely enjoy The Wiley Ones.

City Bird Publicity has not only given me the chance to listen to The Wiley Ones’, “Thank You New York”, they have given you the same opportunity through SoundCloud.  Give it a listen, I think you will enjoy it – Richard

Powers’ Lets us “Touch the World”

blackpandaPRpowers

Powers’ doesn’t really want to be placed in a specific genre, so each individual song can have a different feel to it.  With “Touch the World”, Powers’ goes into an Electric Techno feeling type of music.  Once you get into the song it has a catchy rhythm and lyrics.  They don’t dive to much into the the Techno feel so I think everyone will enjoy this.  Plus how can I not like a song referencing a comic book character.  For those of you that know me will understand that comment.  Anyway you don’t have to take my word for it Powers’ has made this available for you to listen to and watch their music video through their YouTube channel – Richard
