Lindsay Mac Debut Single “Remember”

cyberpr1lindsey

The first thing that popped into my head at the beginning of Lindasy Mac’s “Remember” was….Owl City.  This single really harkens to his style.  It is very upbeat in tempo and her voice is very clear.  I love this style myself and hope she continued on for the rest of her EP entitled Animal Again.  Can’t wait to her more from Lindsay, but until then check out “Remember” through SoundCloud – Richard:

New from Adrian Croom: “Fast Forward”

muse2080_Album_Cover

Adrian Croom comes to with an instrumental that has flavors of hip/hop and traditional elements.  I wasn’t sure what to expect from his single “Fast Forward”, but I listened to it and came away enjoying it.  I like the simple style in my music at times and with “Fast Forward: having the piano present through the whole song I really enjoyed.  When the hip/hop comes in it takes a shift for me and almost feels like a futuristic sound that you would find in a science fiction movie.  Can’t wait to hear move from Adrian myself, but you can check out “Fast Forward” below through SoundCloud – Richard:

Year of October’s latest “Gone”

Year of October has a blending of Blues and Rock and that is evident in their latest single “Gone”.  The verse with Phlecia carries the bluesy feel, but then the song takes a step back for Josh to do a rock guitar riff.  This is an interesting mix and it worked for me.  Check out “Gone” through SoundCloud below – Richard:

Spitty95’s Single “No Flex Zone”

spitty

Here’s one from one of our friends on Twitter, Spitty95, with the single “No Flex Zone”.  Wasn’t thrilled with the opening, but once the song came into focus they had a real clear sound.  Sometimes in Rap that can be a difficult thing.  The sound is more of a mainstream rap, something you could hear on even a pop station.  I don’t know if this is intentional or not, but it does give Spitty95 more crossover appeal.  I have to comment, being a science fiction fan I loved the Back to the Future reference, it was fun to hear.  Take a listen through SoundCloud below – Richard

Going to a “Farpoint” with Harris Hawk

Harris Hawk gives everyone a nice hard rock single with “Farpoint”.  This is one that hard rock fans will enjoy.  There is a short bridge where the song softens a little, but it is primarily in your face with electric guitar the featured piece in the driving beat.  Rock out with Harris Hawk through SoundCloud below – Richard:

Getting Techie with What Model Citizens’ “Too Late”

“Too Late”, from What Model Citizens, has a strong 1980’s synth feel.  Kind of in the vain of Devo and other groups like that.  The Music Video definitely leans toward the Steampunk genre and the song lends itself well to that genre as well.  So if you are into Steampunk or the synth music check out the music video below from Vimeo – Richard:

February Moon Music Video

If you are into toy collecting and making dioramas, you will more than likely enjoy Morgan Shaughnessy’s music video for her single “February Moon”.  It is done in stop motion, which I enjoyed.  Check it out from her YouTube channel below – Richard

The Cabana Kids gives us “Sortida”

The Cabana Kids latest single “Sortida’ gives you that late 1960’s to 1970’s feel to me.  The vocals and instruments give a nice counter balance to each other and the “aahs”  gives it an other worldly or what some might say the “feel good feeling” feel to the single.  This would also appeal to what I would call the hipster scene very easily.  Check it out through SoundCloud – Richard:

city bird publicitychrist1chist2

I know the holiday season is technically over, but I just returned from my holiday trips.  I promised Melissa, of City Bird Publicity I would get these last two songs up even if I had to do it after the holidays.  The first is Ewa Angeli with “In Night’s Still Silence and then Jes wraps up the holiday tunes with “Merry Little Christmas”.  Thank you to Melissa and City Bird Publicity for a great 2014 and can’t wait to see what music is in store for us for 2015.
