Lily Elise’s Single “Taken”

blackpandaPRlily

“Taken” is the title track from her upcoming debut EP, Taken.  This single is one that when listening to the verses of the song the vocals and instrumentals clash a little and compete against each other.  This is a specific style and I’ve heard other pieces that do this same thing.  It took me a couple of times to really get into this song because of that clash and then I was used to it and had no trouble.  Have a good chorus helped me give “Taken” multiple listenings and really tied this piece together nicely.  Check it out through SoundCloud – Richard:

Eiffels “Did It Now”

museeiffels1

The Eiffels debut single, from their upcoming self titled EP, is “I Did It Now”.  This group has a 1980’s synth rock feel to them in this single.  It has a great base beat, that will have your head bobbing.  “I Did It Now” isn’t a pop rock sound, it has a darker feel to it with the heavy drum beat.  Check it out through SoundCloud – Richard:

Coffeehouse’s Acoustic version of “On This Side”

musecoffehouse

Coffeehouse has a nice cool sound with their music that you should check out.  However, in this instance they want everyone to check out their Acoustic version of their single “On This Side”.  This version definitely has a different feel than the original, but in a good way.  Both version are well done and enjoyable.  Check out “On This Side – Acoustic Version” through their YouTube channel – Richard:

I Fight Dragons, That Alone Should Get Your Interest

ifightdragons

Just look at this picture of the band I Fight Dragons.  This band is made for us fans.  The band has recently released the album The Near Future.  This album can be purchased on their website, in Vinyl no less, http://ifightdragons.spinshop.com/ .  It has a mixture of instrumental pieces and lyrical pieces.   The best way to experience the album is through their YouTube channel.  I Fight Dragons has crafted a story to follow with their singles that is either told through their lyrics or on screen, for the instrumental pieces, to read.  If you can’t tell I’ve found a new band to follow.  They are hitting all my buttons in music and fandom.  To experience them check out their second song, “Eighteen”, of the album from their YouTube channel – Richard:

“Party Dress” by Michael Stec

Michael Stec gives everyone a “Party Dress”.  Michael falls within the Rock genre, but not a heavy rock.  If you could maybe say lighter rock sound with “Party Dress”  The single has a catchy rhythm and hook so I believe most will enjoy it like I did.  Give Michael a listen through SoundCloud – Richard

Orla Gartland Gives Us “Lonely People”

museorla

Orla Gartland is in country and will be touring through the month of March.  We get to watch and listen to her single “Lonely People”, which has a great Pop sound.  The single has a nice upbeat tempo and her voice fits the Pop genre very well.  It blends with the instrumentals, but isn’t overpowered by them.  This can be tricky for an artist, but Orla handles it well with “Lonely People”.  If you want to check her music out you can go to the following places to hear her live.  And be sure to check out the music video for “Lonely People” through her YouTube channel – Richard:

MIRK Decides to “Let it Go”

musemirk

MIRK releases their fourth single from their upcoming album Run, “Let it Go”.  This is definitely not Disney’s “Let it Go”, so don’t be fooled.  This single features a strong soulful female solo and then goes into MIRK’s upbeat feel.  Take a listen through SoundCloud – Richard:

Jukebox the Ghost Remix of Little Daylight’s “Postcard”

blackpandaPRlittle daylight 1

Jukebox the Ghost gives us Little Daylight’s “Postcard” as a remix.  LIttle Daylight has a great easy listening synth sound that I enjoy.  This harkens back to the late 1980’s, early 1990’s in style.  “Postcard” reminds me a little of Ace of Base.  Check out the single through SoundCloud and if you are in the area of any of their performances stop in for a fun evening – Richard

El Conjunto Nueva Ola’s Music Video of “El Jom Dipo”

museconjunto

I love the Lucha Libre masks!  El Conjunto Nueva Ola seems to be a band that is a bunch of guys just wanting to have fun and it comes across in their single “El Jom Dipo”.  At times I think fun music gets a bad rap.  We need to have the fun stuff as well as other types of music.  Their rhythm of “El Jom Dipo” is infectious and will make your body move whether you want it to our not.  Great fun and I hope the band will keep the fun flowing.  Check out “El Jom Dipo’s” music video through thier YouTube channel – Richard

Vuurwerk’s “Wakening” Music Video

musevuurwerk

Vuurwerk comes to us by way of Brussels.  The band is an electronic trio and is making their way out into this wonderful world of music.  The specific music video single we have of theirs is “Wakening” which has a very atmospheric quality to it.  This will appeal to some, but not all.  For me it would depend on the mood I’m in for this one.  Check it out through the “Run Tell Secrecy” YouTube channel – Richard:
