Morgan’s Road Music Video for “Olde Cumberland”

cyberpr1morgans road

Morgan’s Road is sharing with our listeners their latest music video for their single “Olde Cumberland”.  With this single the band has an old 1970’s feel to it.  The singing is somber and melodic, but the rhythm of the song keeps the listeners interest.  Something like maybe the Eagles or Three Dog Night would do with a rock/folk/country sound.  The music video itself is just an in studio recording type of video.  Check out “Olde Cumberland” from Morgan’s Road YouTube channel – Richard:

“Come On, Let’s Dance!” with The Hellflowers

city bird publicityhellflowers

The Hellflowers are sharing with us their fun single “Come On, Let’s Dance!”  The single has a fun driving rock beat with a splash of punk for good measure.  It reminds me of something that you might hear Pat Benatar sing.  The music video that The Hellflowers are sharing has two distinct feels to it.  You have the band singing that has that rough edge to it and then it splits to a bright scene where a couple is dancing…and I love the Ramones Tee.  “Come On, Let’s Dance!” is the title track from the bands same titled EP that was released earlier this year.  So go to your digital vendors and look up The Hellflowers Come On, Let’s Dance! EP and while you are doing that enjoy their music video to “Come On, Let’s Dance!” through their YouTube channel – Richard:

Sivan’s Thoughtful “I’ll Be” Single

effective immediately prsivan

Sivan reminds us all that the Earth is here for us in her powerful single and music video, “I’ll Be” that she is sharing with us.  However, we need to be here for the Earth as well and think about what we are doing for the future.  The single uses a simple catchy melody that conveys Sivan’s message well.  Sivan has a high range that she effectively uses in “I’ll Be”, but doesn’t overdue it.  Enjoy Sivan’s “I’ll Be” music video through her YouTube channel – Richard:

Troy’s latest Rock Single “Cover Me”

blackpandaPRtroy ramey

We featured Troy’s “Song Man” back in May.  Now Troy is sharing with us his latest single “Cover Me”.  Once again Troy smashes it with this great rock influenced single.  “Cover Me” doesn’t hit you in the face like you would expect if I told you this was a rock single.  This single has some soul mixed in with a nicely blended story based rock single that gets introspective.  Enjoy Troy’s “Cover Me” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Big Gigantic’s Latest Single “All of Me”

blackpandaPRBig Gigantic

Big Gigantic is sharing with the ComicPop listeners “All of Me”, the title track for their recently released EP All of Me.  This single features Rozes, whom we have spotlighted before, and Logic.  We have that electronica feel from the very start that plays throughout the single.  Logic’s rapping is spot on and Rozes chorus flows through the music.  If you listen closely to the back ground sounds there are some sounds that Big Gigantic puts in that is very reminiscent of old school video game sounds, especially at the end it really comes through.  Very nice collaboration with everything mixing well.  Check out Big Gigantic’s “All of Me” featuring Logic and Rozes through SoundCloud – Richard:

Cristina Lizzul’s “La Notte” Cover

Cristina Lizzul

As many of you know we here at ComicPop don’t shy away from foreign entertainment.  This is the case with Cristina Lizzul’s music video for her cover of “La Notte”.  With the combination with the instrumentals and Cristina’s voice makes this single play as smooth as silk.  I could be completely wrong with my interpretation since I don’t speak the language, but “La Notte’ has a very sensual feel to it.  Cristina has a very beautiful voice and I would love to hear what it would sound in different genres.  She is currently working on her first EP entitled Percipience and has worked as an actor in four independent films, in 2015, (RighteousnessSubject 0: Shattered Memories, Lemonheads, and La Prigione Oscura) and has another upcoming project in the works in association with Francis Ford Coppola.  Keep an eye out for Cristina Lizzul to continue making splashes in the entertainment field, but until then enjoy her music video of her cover of “La Notte” on her YouTube channel – Richard:

JUNE dARK Rises like a “Phoenix”

cyberpr1june 1

JUNE dARK is delivering with “Phoenix”.  June has a very solid/strong voice that comes through beautifully.  “Phoenix” has a rock/ballad feel with a little bit of Eletronica thrown in.  This single just has a fullness to it that sometimes is missing between the instrumentals and the singer, but June’s voice is strong enough that it isn’t lost it compliments the music.  Very well done can’t wait to hear more from her.  Here’s JUNE dARK’s “Phoenix” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Benta Has a “Lover In Dark”

benta

Benta is sharing with the ComicPop listeners his music video for his single “Lover in Dark”.  This from the beginning is an Electronica influenced piece.  The steady beat is close to being over used, but the rest of the piece brings the song together and makes it a great sexy dance tune.  It’s slow dance time, on the dance floor, with your partner.  The music video will take you by surprise if you are not ready for it, I thought maybe my sound wasn’t working, but then about 18 seconds in the music starts.  The video works will in the black & white medium…it gives it an even sexier feel.  Here is Benta’s “Lover in Dark” through his YouTube channel – Richard:

DEDBTZ & Brevi Wants Us to See “Planes in the Sky”

planes

DEDBTZ is sharing with us again their latest single, featuring artist Brevi, “Planes in the Sky”.  When listening to the lyrics you hear the struggles that many have to work through as Brevi alludes.  The beginning of the single is very serious and then a third of the way into the single the beat picks up and lightens the mood even though it is still lyrically serious.  This is a very nice mix of rhythms otherwise this would be a very sad song, that with the up tempo beat will be heard more and speak to the individuals that it is speaking to.  Another strong entry for their upcoming EP.  Can’t wait to hear the EP when it is finalized.  Until then here is DEDBTZ, featuring Brevi, in the single “Planes in the Sky” through SoundCloud – Richard:
