Maggie McClure Will “Be Right Here For You”

Maggie McClure has hit my sweet spot with her single “Be Right Here For You”.  This is just a fun catchy single that should get your foot to tapping and head to bobbing.  I personally love these type of songs because of their uplifting rhythm and, as stated above, plain funness (yeah I know I created a word).  Maggie’s work has been spotlighted on several television programs so you might have heard something of hers and not realize it.  Her latest album is Time Moves On.  I am definitely interested in hearing more from her to see if she keeps up the fun uplifting style.  Enjoy Maggie McClure’s “Be Right Here For You” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Balkan Beat Box’ “Chin Chin” gets Two Remixes

Balkan Beat Box’ single “Chin Chin” has gotten to remixes.  One from Bad Royale and the other from Gaudi.  Both remixes are completely different than the others Bad Royale’s has a more pop feel to it and Gaudi’s has more of an urban feel.  For two different mixers doing remixes of your song is pretty cool.  You can listen to both versions from The Music Ninja webstie where they are exclusives.  Take a jump and have some fun to see which remix you like better and if you want to check out Balkan Beat Box live see which dates they might be near you – Richard

Judge Roughneck’s Latest Single “The Girl”

Judge Roughneck is sharing with our listeners again, this time it is for their current single “The Girl”.  Still enjoy the horns and reggae beat that Judge Roughneck gives us.  In “The Girl” they have a smooth sound for the chorus that even calls into mind the beach songs of the day, while the verse is where you get the most reggae feel.  A fun smooth sound to begin the coming of Spring and into the Summer beach music.  Find that groove with Judge Roughneck’s “The Girl” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Mt. Wolf’s “The Electric” Lyric Video

Mt. Wolf is sharing with our listeners their single “The Electric” lyric video.  Mt. Wolf’s lead singer has a nice bass register voice.  This can be a little limiting as I know first hand as a bass as well.  The styles of music you sing you have to sing well or it just won’t come off good.  With “The Electric” Mt. Wolf knows where they want to be for this single and hit it out of the park for me.  The beginning and and ending are a little drawn out that some might not have the patience for, but the lyric video really assists the single in this instance.  For the lyric video the director used old military films for the background and it works really well.  To me Mt. Wolf’s style is a folk/pop sound for this single and I’m interested in what else they might put out on their as yet un-titled album that is in the works.  Mt. Wolf has also been confirmed for SXSW this year so check them out if you will be attending.  Until then here’s Mt. Wolf’s lyric video for “The Electric” through CRC Music’s YouTube channel – Richard:

Among Criminals New Single “Patience and Regret”

Among Criminals is sharing their new single “Patience and Regret” from their upcoming album Kill the Precedent.  With “Patience and Regret” I’m getting a 1970’s feel at the start, with the guitar section giving a Vietnam era vibe.  When they get to the chorus they shift into a driven beat.  Definitely a rock band with the rhythms hitting you with a steady stream.  I’m looking forward to what else they will have on their album. Rock it out with Among Criminals’ “Patience and Regret” through SoundCloud and be sure to keep an eye out for their upcoming album Kill the Precedent – Richard

Mike Schiavo’s Music Video for “Back For Me”

Mike Schiavo is sharing with our listeners his music video for his single “Back For Me”.  If Mike’s name sounds a little familiar it might be from his time on season 10 of The Voice.  Mike has a clear strong voice that he uses in his “Back For Me” ballad.  I also love how he is keeping the instrumentals simple and he lets his voice be the star of the single.  The video that has been produced for the single is really crisp and clean as well and has that story element to it not just Mike singing to us.  For me I appreciate this type of music video more because the director and artist are being creative for this aspect of the song.  “Back For Me” is from his self-titled EP that is available from your download service of choice.  Here’s Mike Schiavo’s music video for his single “Back For Me” through SpotsTheGinga YouTube channel – Richard:

Emma Charleston’s Single “Falling”

Emma Charleston hits me in one of my sweet spots with her single “Falling” that she is sharing with ComicPop’s listeners.  Emma has a nice clean strong voice that shines with this singles acoustical folk/pop style.  This reminds me of something back in the day that John Denver would sing.  This is a great way to have a first single.  I can’t wait to see if Emma continues down the folk/pop genre or if she will change up, but for my .02 Cents worth this genre she would shine in and I look forward to her next release.  Here’s Emma Charleston’s “Falling” through SoundCloud – Richard

Cado’s Latest Single “Say Sumthin”

Cado is sharing his latest single “Say Sumthin”.  This single takes on a more lyrical vibe that spoken vibe.  As with any type of music rap has it’s different styles that artists use.  Most people are used to the spoken rap, but Cado is using the rhythm of the instrumentals to do what I call a lyrical rap, where the vocalist is doing a style that is midway between a spoken rap and just pure singing a single.  The voice is clear and works well with this lyrical style and is a nice change of pace.  You can check out Cado’s “Say Sumthin” on spotity ( Say Sumth ) or right here through SoundCloud – Richard:

Nozart Single “Puppet”

Nozart, lead by composer/pianist/producer Noah Kellman, is sharing their single “Puppet” with our listeners.  “Puppet” will be one that our alternative rock and I believe our steampunk rock listeners will get into with ease.  I myself love the instrumentals and would love to have Nozart do a pure instrumental song, the opening is just right up my alley.  However, I realize that an instrumental piece is probably the most daunting of releases.  However, Nozart is definitely playing to their fan base and genre.  The vocals stay just above the instruments so listeners can enjoy the lyrics, but if this is going to be their style they’ll have to watch that they don’t let the instrumentals overpower the vocals.  For me this hits a genre I enjoy and I think it will for others as well.  Here’s Nozart’s “Puppet” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Trapdoor Social’s Single “Never Stop Listening”

Trapdoor Social is sharing with our listeners their latest single “Never Stop Listening”.  Music and politics have been intertwined since I can remember.  With the single “Never Stop Listening” the band is adding their voice to a cause they want to draw awareness.  The single itself can be listened to and be referenced in a completely different way.  It is with the music video for the single that draws attention to the Dakota Access Pipeline, by using images from the camp.  The single itself is a very well done soft rock ballad that is enjoyable.  Here’s Trapdoor Social’s “Never Stop Listening” music video through their YouTube channel.  If you want to catch them live I have some of the upcoming dates listed  – Richard:
