Two New Releases by Divine Fits

Divine Fits has released to new music videos for their new songs “Chained to Love” and “Ain’t That The Way”.  The sound of this band, for me is reminiscent of the ’60’s to early ’70’s bands.  The music is light and doesn’t over power the lead singer.  The music videos are kitschy as well with the “Chained to Love” being edited around old black & white movie scenes and then the “Ain’t That the Way” video  having that 1970 television feel.  Watch the videos below and see what you think and be sure to go to Wild Honey Pie’s site for more indie news http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

Firefly Game

This will be one you will want to consider for your gaming collection.  Toy Vault, Inc. will be releasing Firefly: Out to the Black card game this coming October, with a suggested price of $24.99.  Even though Firefly has not been in production for several years, it has become a cult favorite of science fiction fans.

Veronica Mars Movie is Coming

If you remember a few months back I we had a story about the Veronica Mars televisions series starting a Kickstarter to make a movie.  Well the funds were raised and Warner Bros. released a trailer at Comic-Con this past weekend.  The movie is currently being filmed.  No word if it is a theatrical or tv movie or straight to DVD, we’ll have to wait and see on that front, but until then have fun watching the video below from “veronicamarsmovie’ channel on YouTube:

Archie and Zombies…..

File this under the “What” file.  Yes currently zombies are everywhere and now we mean everywhere.  Zombies are in Riverdale!?!!!  For all you Archie fans that were clamoring for this, your wishes have come true.  I joke, but who knows, Afterlife with Archie might be a big hit with a decent story.  The comic will be done by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla and be published under the Archie Imprint.  Thanks to ICv2 for providing this trailer for the new comic:

Anna Rose’s New Album

The Enchanting Anna Rose Returns With
Behold A Pale Horse
Available August 6

When I listen to the two songs above they have two distinct feels.  Some artists stay in one grove, but Anna changes it up a little.  On “Behold a Pale Horse” to me it has a Folk feel to it with some Southern Rock mixed in for good measure.  Then you shift gears a little for “Beautiful World”.  “Beautiful World” feels like a Pop Country song.  I enjoyed both tracks and I like that the music doesn’t over power Anna’s voice.  It has a nice clear sound to it.
Check out the video links above and then see if she will be in your area below.

Red 2 Trailer

To me Red 2 is going to be the movie to beat out of the new movies this weekend.  The first one was really liked and this new movie looks to pick back up with the fun right where it left off.    Thanks to “joblomovienetwork” on YouTube for the following trailer:

The Conjuring Trailer

The Conjuring will appeal to the horror fans out there as well as those with any interest in the paranormal.  Thanks to “movieclipsTRAILERS” on YouTube for the following trailer:

Glimpse Inside Ghibli Museum With Matsutoya’s Music Video

EMI Records is currently streaming a part of Yumi Matsutoya’s music video for the theme song for the upcoming, Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli’s, The Wind Rises flim.  The song is entitled Hikoki Gumo (Airplane Cloud).  What makes the music video so unique is because part of it is filmed in the Ghibli Museum, which does not allow photos or videos to be taken in the museum.  So thank you to the Ghibli Museum and EMI Records for allowing this rare look inside the museum walls.

R.I.P.D. Trailer

R.I.P.D. is basically another cop buddy movie.  Your supernatural M.I.B.  Still it looks like a fun movie.  Thanks to “CBMTrailers” on YouTube for the following trailer:
