I’m sure everyone is eagerly awaiting this weekend for Mocking Jay, Part 1. The Hunger Games first part of the final book hits theaters. Thanks to the YouTube channel “MOVIECLSPS Trailers” for the following trailer:
Debut Single “Whole Again” from Alec Chambers
Alec Chambers has a great sounding single on his hands. The rhythms are there, the hooks are there, and he has a nice clear voice. The only thing that might hold some back is his Tenor voice. I like his voice, but it will be compared to Justin Bieber’s voice and other boy band type voices. This isn’t to say his voice is bad, because it isn’t, he just needs to be prepared for that happening. Take a listen to Alec’s “Whole Again” through SoundCloud and see what you think – Richard
Upcoming Tour Dates:
December 6, 2014 | New York, NY @ Merkin Concert Hall supporting David Ippolito
January 5, 2015 | New York, NY @ The Bitter End
January 14, 2015 | New York, NY @ Rockwood Music Hall | 7:00PM
Grand Theft Auto “V”
“Sky Stand Still” from Jes
Jes has had a good November, with her release of “Sky Stand Still”. The single is the theme of the documentary The Principle. The single has a nice drum march beat to it that brings out the rhythm for people to get into. The song isn’t a fast beat dancing song, but more of a power ballad song. Jes’ voice fits perfectly and has a really nice sound quality. Check it out through SoundCloud – Richard

“Baby Baby” Debut Single From Lady Low
Lady Low reworks the single “Baby Baby”, originally released by The Vibrators in ’77. If you are not prepared for Lady Low’s sound it will probably make you say what is going on. However, once you get into the song and the style that they are singing, which they have termed “Romance Rock”, it is almost hypnotic. The single is slowed down and the lower voice register they sing in is also drawn out in the lyrics. This is definitely mood music, so check it out by clicking the link provided to Nothing but Hope and Passion’s website – Richard:

The Glass Child gives us a moving “Who Am I”
Charlotte Eriksson (The Glass Child) gives a powerful performance with her release of “Who Am I”, from her album, I Must Be Gone and Live, or Stay and Die. At times her voice gets lost in the chorus, but that kind of fits the song, because we all get lost at times in our lives and wonder “Who Am I” or what is my purpose in life. You can tell that she puts her emotional experiences in her music, through her voice. Eager to see what else she might give us in the future.
